1:50 I remember watching my Giants play the Broncos on monday night football september 10th 2001 and taking life and freedom for granted, as most of us including me do sometimes. To think I might have been a little upset that the Giants lost that night amazes me, because only a few hours later, life as we all knew it changed forever. Never Forget.
The focus is more on the radio than it is the Custodian. The radio intro that begins at 1:50 belongs to a Radio-News Broadcasting Station called 1010 WINS here in New York. Very symbolic view there; on that day it was very difficult to contact anyone and most lines of transportation were down. The only way to get home that day (regardless how far) was walking. No smart phones or anything at the time either so the only way to get updates/news along the way was through anyone with a radio R.I.P.
Aw man Favre... as a Vike van we lost a lotta games to you. Then you came here and got us so damn close to the super bowl. Then you just stayed in the league one year too many. I still like that guy. I'd put more blame on Childress than anyone for our rebuilding we gotta do now.
I can't lie, the 9/11, Katrina and Sean Taylor death all hit me hardest. I'm a Skins fan and Sean's death was probably the most emotional I've ever gotten over a football team.
1:05 One of the greatest seasons ever for a pass rusher, yet it doesn’t get talked about nearly enough because of how subpar the Giants were that year.
I teared up at the Taylor part. I read the wikipedia story. On the first place of the game after he was murdered, the defense lined up with only 10 guys to honor Taylor.
0:21 It all Began January 8, 2000 the same day Soul Train gets new Host Daytime Emmy Award Winner Shemar Moore and new theme music "TSOP 2000" by Dr. Freeze from January 8, 2000 through March 2006.
The ball bounced off his back and landed in his hands, he then got up and scored a touchdown. Also, it was in overtime, so yeah it was a pretty incredible play.
6:35 Let him be the reminder that the Tampa Bay Bucs went to Super Bowl XXXVII. He should have two SB rings, not one. Of course, you can thank the Glazers for firing Dungy and replacing him with a coach that tore the team apart.
Nope, not at all lol. Before the season even began, the Chargers traded Eli Manning (since he was clearly so unhappy, you can imagine a Coach wouldn't want a player like that piloting his offense) for Phillip Rivers (who was drafted by the Giants first) Gotta wonder how things would be now if this would've never happened lol. Go Giants!
@MrStarkst they chose a life of bad decisions. Sean Taylor was arrested with a DUI and armed assult. Chris Henry was arrested for a couple DUIs and driving while high. He also was arrested for assault a couple of times. Those guys had so much talent but wasted it by living a life of crime
This video STILL gets tears going in my eyes in 2021
Brings tears to my eyes
Anyone else still watching this in 2020? Absolutely amazing.
Sean Taylor, Steve McNair, Pat Tillman, Darrent Williams, and Derrick Thomas aka "Thunder and Destruction"
This made me cry
Quite possibly the greatest youtube video of all time
Look up, get up, and don't ever give up... that quote is in my heart forever...
Hard to find another video thats gives me chills during the whole video... i was a kid during that decade, feel nostalgic, great decade for the nfl.
a pretty great decade of the NFL imo. Lots of entertaining character players & coaches involved throughout the decade and a bunch of huge moments
Look up
Get up
But never give up
Those are the best words i have ever heard
Greatest NFL decade!! 2000-2009
I don't think you're human if you don't get chills and/or tear up at this video
So glad i lived this decade to see all these things. R.I.P Sean Taylor we miss u
Oh man. I knew Sean personally in high school. When that part came up, I'm crying man. Thank you for your comment....
R.I.P.: Pat Tillman, Sean Taylor, Reggie White and every other player I have forgotten. I can't wait for next season. GO GIANTS!!!
2:48 by far the best moment. It was more than a blocked punt. Like the fan's sign says, it showed the world "We are back"
Rebirth of New Orleans ⚜
One of the most incredible video's I have ever seen, Incredible job.
Probably my favorite compilation of highlights...

R.I.P.
No saints Super Bowl or NFC championship game highlights? Both amazing moments and games.
gamelvr1 irony of this comment...
They were both played in 2010. This aired just before the playoffs. So i think you’ll have to wait until this decade ends.
it must be so cool being a player in one of these plays and looking back.
Started tearing up the moment they showed McNair after Sean Taylor.
I actually shed a tear watching this. This defines us as a generation
I was a kid when these games back in 2000 dam football was so different
just gives me chills. i love it when gruden goes crazy
Damn Titans. One yard!!
4:59 I was at the first redskins game since sean payton died :( So emotional! I wasnt a redskins fan, but was still very sad
I LOVE the nfl and this video gives me chills. just an awesome video
Probably the best vid on utube!!!! Jus sayin
It all went by so fast!
agree with you but I got to say that some of these clips gave me chills
Its "Straight Cash, homie" and that was the great Randy Moss. And the question was" how do you pay?"
Before I die, My life won't flash before my eyes. Highlights like this will

And that Tyree play defined the decade imo, because it was in 2007, the Patriots were climaxing at 18-0 and it all changed after that.
I teared up when they came to Sean Taylor... RIP Sean... []__[]
I have to say this was way better than the College one.. More emotion involved..
Look up, get up, don't ever give up- Michael Irvin- best quote from him 3:48
2:40-2:53 best part. imo.
Lol 1:10 made me cry! Pretty embarrasing.
WOW. C'mon man!! Oh wait that's me...
Nate Cady 2:17 got me :'(
2:20....
5:51
Nathan Cady #Noragrets lmao
Sean Taylor, how I miss you HTTR
pretty sure it's joseph andruzzi, he was an offensive lineman for the patriots
I can't lie, the 9/11, Katrina and Sean Taylor death all hit me hardest. I'm a Skins fan and Sean's death was probably the most emotional I've ever gotten over a football team.
It's a shame Vick's redemption season was mainly in 2010. The Eagles-Giants miracle comeback game would have fit in this perfectly
anyone else notice the announcer said tyree was "wide open"? hahah he was kinda smothered by harrison
I started laughing my ass off at the part where romo muffed the snap
I couldn't agree more.
Giants SB 42. Best superbowl by far
1:05 One of the greatest seasons ever for a pass rusher, yet it doesn’t get talked about nearly enough because of how subpar the Giants were that year.
@manfulify if ur talking about the beer bottles being thrown at the refs, it was in cleveland.
I teared up at the Taylor part. I read the wikipedia story. On the first place of the game after he was murdered, the defense lined up with only 10 guys to honor Taylor.
2024 and I got tears in my eyes
I just rediscovered, God, I love this game...I love football...
i got goose bumps!!
Who can wait for the best moments of the 2010's?
Me, I'm pretty excited.
I hope they do one
the song is better days by goo goo dolls
0:21 It all Began January 8, 2000 the same day Soul Train gets new Host Daytime Emmy Award Winner Shemar Moore and new theme music "TSOP 2000" by Dr. Freeze from January 8, 2000 through March 2006.
what happened when manning is talking about his kicker being licoured up?
The 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina clips get me the hardest it just shows how football as well as any sport can bring a country together.
RIP Al "Just win baby"
this video was great but the one thing i thnk thy wer missing was devin hesters opening kickoff in superbowl 41 ima bears just sayn
2:08 -chills.
I can't believe they didn't make this for the 2010s
Yeah but even if they did make one, it wouldn’t have been nowhere NEAR as good as this one. 2000 to 2010 was such a fun time to be an NFL fan
I cant wait till the 11-20 video
3:36-3:42 funniest moment in the clip.
@thedudejamful Apparently it's Better Days by the Goo Goo Dolls.
No offense, but it took me about 30 whole seconds to find it on the internet.
You forgot steve smith making the play to beat the rams in double ot and bring the panthers to the super bowl
dont get me started on that year in NJ
confused... they have bretts first season as a vike which was 09 but nothing about the saints winning their first superbowl.
Sean Taylor's death was probably the saddest moment I remember. As a cowboys fan I had nothing but respect for him and how he played the game
The 2000s was the best decade for the NFL.
I like everything in here except the Music City Miracle. Sour grapes, I guess haha
I don't get what happened at1:37 ??
The ball bounced off his back and landed in his hands, he then got up and scored a touchdown. Also, it was in overtime, so yeah it was a pretty incredible play.
what is going on with warren sapp at 1:44?
How is Darrent Williams not included in this?
2:48... thank you steve...
looks like freddie mitchell started the discount double check at 5:19
Two Biggest parts of the video
David Tyree's "The Catch"
Those who went in late to work on 9/11 after Giants Monday Night game
Thank you G-Men
Where are the Mike Brown Games from 2001?
@Gators543 i know jim johnson wasn´t a player when he died, but he was the greatest deffensive coordinator ever!!!
amazing video, gets me everyime....whats the song?
im a pats fan and clearly his arm was going forward!
What was the draft pick one about?
6:35 Let him be the reminder that the Tampa Bay Bucs went to Super Bowl XXXVII. He should have two SB rings, not one.
Of course, you can thank the Glazers for firing Dungy and replacing him with a coach that tore the team apart.
RIP Sean Taylor
what happened with Warren Sapp at 1:41 ?
Nope, not at all lol. Before the season even began, the Chargers traded Eli Manning (since he was clearly so unhappy, you can imagine a Coach wouldn't want a player like that piloting his offense) for Phillip Rivers (who was drafted by the Giants first)
Gotta wonder how things would be now if this would've never happened lol.
Go Giants!
@5:00 RIP SEAN Best of all time
even for a person that hates the nfl i love this video
When is the 2010s one coming out
Wow...that was great.
Still watching...
what is sapp yelling at 1:41?
Its called "better days" by the goo goo dolls
Where is the 2010s one????
@MrStarkst they chose a life of bad decisions. Sean Taylor was arrested with a DUI and armed assult. Chris Henry was arrested for a couple DUIs and driving while high. He also was arrested for assault a couple of times. Those guys had so much talent but wasted it by living a life of crime
Football will never be the Same!
