I really like that Byakuya is fine enough to flash step away. Ichigo is strong but he is still getting by by the skin of his teeth, only surviving his battles with Renji, Kenpachi, and Byakuya because of his hollow mask. Its a good way of building up his power without making it seem like he now just the strongest so there is still room to grow while keep the other stronger characters relevant.
I think many people don't realize Orihime's point about why saving Rukia was important because it was important to Ichigo. Those three just recently know Rukia but Chad is Ichigo's best friends and Orihime is in love with Ichigo. Uryuu is the only one that might be evenly acquainted with them and not one more than the other (but he has his own personal reasons to come anyway). And when Orihime talks about Rukia changing everything, it goes back to Ichigo's regrets about not being able to protect his mom. Rukia gave him powers which allowed him to protect the people he cares about, and so simbolically it's also important that he can protect her. They as people who care so much about Ichigo are aware of the progress Ichigo was able to make and why this matters. So It's not that they don't care about Rukia, but it's Ichigo who shares a bond with Rukia due to the change she brought and that's why they're there to support him.
[Tidbits & Clarifications] - Ichigo much like Renji is using his newly attained Bankai, his body wasn't quite ready for it. As the Masked version of Ichigo called out, Ichigo's Spiritual Pressure was so strong that he was crushing his own body. - This episode does a great job at both showcasing the MC's potential while also expressing why he's not quite superior. As I mentioned before Ichigo is often lucky enough to Challenge those who in some way shape or form hold Back. Kenny was literally waiting for him to get strong enough, Byakuya in his Arrogance kept withholding power thinking Ichigo wasn't worthy. (Even at the end, Byakuya was still standing and can use Kido, where as Ichigo was on his last)
Technically he told both of them it wasn’t bankai truly since true bankai takes extreme time or training. It’s like they learned the basics of how to use their fighter in a fighting game and learn the specials later that make them unique. They are like that I’ve dude with context immature.
I like that you guys were able to see and understand Byakuya’s side of things, even if you don’t agree with it. Bleach is full of conflicting ideologies and that’s one of the things I like about it. Seeing the different ways of thinking clashing
Byakuya: "You're only a human. Though your spirit has not been broken, there is a limit to what you can endure. You have reached that limit." Byakuya did say that one needs to train 10 years after attaining Bankai to fully master it. It makes sense Ichigo's body wasn't able to keep up with his power. It's just like when Frieza pulled up to fight Goku the second he got his new Golden form.
The anime cut panels of showing Kaien (the person Rukia killed) when Byakuya saw ichigo and him saying he’d fight the law. That’s what convinced him to give up the similarities between the two and how persistent they are.
The Normies: "He has a Sukuna?" Where do you think the author of Jujutsu Kaisen Gege Akutami got his inspiration from ? In interview he said that Bleach and Yuyu Hakucho are his main inspirations ! Makes sense !!
I like how they simultaneously point out that it's weird to make such a big deal out of what rukia did but they also complain about not understanding why people are fighting, like that's the reason they're fighting. For people like Byakuya and Yamamoto they are hardcore rule followers, when the order comes that she must be executed this way even if it's hugely out of proportion they feel an obligation to maintain order and follow the rules to the letter, then you have people like Kyoraku, Ukitake, Hitsugaya, and Unohana that are like "nah something's sus and we don't care about the rules enough to not try and stop this and get to the bottom of it". There are absolutely people who place the rule of law above all else, even family, no matter how unfair the law is and there are other people that have a stronger moral code independent of the law and they will be willing to undermine or change the law if they think it's unreasonable, that's ultimately all this clusterfuck is about.

The more that's revealed about the Zanpakutos and Soul Reapers the deeper these scenes become for me since rewatching the series with them. Can you imagine how hurt Zangetsu felt when Ichigo begged for help then immediately rejected him because he didn't want Zangestu to get the credit for defeating Byakuya. How ungrateful can you get??? It's no wonder Byakuya said that wasn't a true Bankai. 😂

The severity of the rule is pretty self explanatory tbh. Soul Reapers are beings whose duty is to keep the balance in the world. She gave he powers to some random guy on the street. That's like the equivalent of an angel giving some random dude their powers😂
Lot of people are mentioning how crazy the title is. You gotta remember the rest of the world doesn't use the same context as us for certain concepts. It's a yin-yang thing, but it comes out from a Japanese culture where black and white don't have the same connotations as they do here in the U.S. The purity and pretentiousness of the color white represented by Kuchki whose pride drives him to live up to his noble status and serve as an example for society to follow vs the murky, deep, heavy and not so clear moral complexity of the shades of black represented by Ichigo who abandons all surface-level pretensions in order to passionately fulfill his personal duty and sense of justice. Do you follow the rules or bend them to do what you think is right? We all know what Obito Uchiha chose.
"The Soul Society rules" There is a couple of things more that play into Byakuya's reasoning one of them comes in a couple of episodes (I guess you maybe already covered it yourselves); the other thing to keep in mind is how the Soul Society is generally shaped: it's entirely based in traditional medieval Japan: the noble houses, the classes, the rules, the lack of technology in some aspects (while they do some science fiction stuff in others XD). In old Japan, the most honorable people followed some of the rules to the limits of incomprehension and obsession because their honor was tied to that obedience. If they broke them, they could consider themselves dishonored. While that means nothing to us, in this particular circumstances (and Ichigo voices that very well), Byakuya is a man trapped in an old life style, with no real knowledge there can be other ways to approach law, tradition and honor (the Soul Society has made sure of that: most knowledge of the human world andmodern concepts is limited to stereotypes; it's unworthy of Soul Reapers to mix much in human affairs, even when they were humans themselves, at some point). Don't get me wrong, Byakuya's reasoning is flawed and based on mistakes; but to see how faulty the system is, what he believes needs to be shattered so he sees he's been deceived this time. Nice reaction, see you in the next one.
Thanks for watching this guys, I look forward to Wednesdays.... I look forward to you getting to the later arc's as well as enjoying TYBW like we are now

Instead of having the patience to wait for the questions to be answered, everyone's just talking during every scene and not letting the art express itself. It's like we're having the discussion during the show or someone's gotta get a lame zinger in during an emotional moment detracting from the experience. Yes, you talk, you react and point out certain things in quick bursts but don't distract from everyone else watching and yourself by expanding on ideas best left for the end. Otherwise, you miss dialogue, information and the delivery of the actors. Just chill out, all will be explained. You will live to see the conclusion of the arc xD
I agree, I said last week that it seems like only Navi is really enjoying the show the other seem to only like small parts of it. Like hitsugiya explained where they where going and why and they forgot like 10 minutes later.
Why is 2:32 funny, i don't get it. Do you not care about the people who are important to people you care about? Hell, Chad said the same exact thing earlier in the arc and everybody was like "fuck yeah, i understand" lol. Anyway great fight. Still one of my favs even now.
I don't get Rana's question. "You have defeated many high ranking soul reapers" "shouldn't you be working together then?" Why? Like, at this stage of the story, work together against who? They're still sitting at the part where one wants to execute Rukia, one wants to save her. The question felt really weird.
They would be so much less confused if they knew what the name "Bleach" stood for. Ichigo is the "bad" guy. The youngling who rejects societies rules based on what he thinks is right. Byakuya is the conservative who bows his head to order and society and crushes chaos. Thats the true core of their fight.
And even with that it's not like Byakuya was on the ground unable to move. Dude could have just stuck around for 5 more seconds and Ichigo woulda been down and defenseless lol

Meanwhile Byakuya was able to flash step out of there at ease so don't you think he is going home and crying like weakling. But what Ichigo's done is admirable because he's able to fight in an equal with a full fledge captain meanwhile Ichigo he was just a newbie
I know it’s because they watched JJK before bleach but calling white hollow ichigo a sukuna actually bothered me. Mostly bc JJK borrows a lot from bleach (even the bad writing choices)
Guys...remember jujutsu kaisen was heavily inspired by bleach....alot of anime were....demon slayer is another example... Also this show goes off the cultural aspect that death is white, and life is black....so you'll notice more often that the good guys will be dark clothes, and while the bar guys will likely be covered in white attire....
I see the "you gave your powers to a human so death penalty" a bit extreme but it can also be like "you gave a civilian an atomic bomb" and given that Ichigo invaded soul society and destroyed like 1/4 of their forces they might have a point xD Not spoilers ahead but getting ahead of the comments I know there is more to the situation just playing devil advocate
ichigo did not win if anything it was more of a draw byakuya still had enough energy to move and flashstep away whilst ichigo was holding onto his sword just to keep his footing i think it’s clear who won this battle
When me and my friends read Bleach live, we called "Hollow Ichigo" "Nobody", as that was the translation that had him say, "I'm Nobody," when Byakuya asked him who he was.
So... everyone will fight me on this because they're Ichigo fan boys but Byakuya lost to Ichigo on purpose... he unraveled his swords himself so Ichigo could hid him... with Ichigo's power and the legit "usage" of his(Byakuya's Bankai) he can say he fought down to the wire and lost as a cover hide the fact that he didn't go all out... if he used all of his swords in stage 2 Ichigo was done... then he didn't connect his final attack and Ichigo was clearly more hurt even after hitting Byakuya with his final attack. Ichigo clearly would've died if Byakuya actually hit him... Ichigo was strong enough that Byakuya could safely throw the fight without anyone being suspicious of him...
so funny how some are so against Byakuya at this point , like Kill em fuck em up etc. and 99.9 of the case everybody loves him later. I guess that makes him just an awesome character. What I don't like is people judge so fast I guess. It bugs me.
If this has been nipple stimulation, the next few are direct prostate I guess…I don’t know if I analogized that right but if you’ve seen the show you probably get it 😂😂😂
@@fate4034 Sure, but he spent that entire arc thinking Ichigo was after him, because he just assumed that was the case and never even bothered to look outside the bubble he surrounded himself with. He's so unattentive and naive, just like all those "edgy" people who think they are the main character of everyone else's life, when they're just another obstacle. He did the Frieza: "I'll ignore that"
I also like the small emphasis in the english version of "I won't ask you to explain what that _thing_ was." lol.

Normies forgot to guess the episode title again
Only Ikkaku knows how to shout Bankai 😅
It's called bleach because of the white of the hollow masks. No joke google it, no worries there is no spoilers in regards to the titles origin.
Whispy Whiskers was from Naruto. It's what they called the 2nd Mizukage.
Came back with the gameshark is kak hilarious
Guys...remember jujutsu kaisen was heavily inspired by bleach....alot of anime were....demon slayer is another example...
Also this show goes off the cultural aspect that death is white, and life is black....so you'll notice more often that the good guys will be dark clothes, and while the bar guys will likely be covered in white attire....
we all have a long way to go😅
can't wait to see yours reaction to last fights.
n keep uploading 2 videos per week
I'm so hyped for the next episode!
I love these double drops
I see the "you gave your powers to a human so death penalty" a bit extreme but it can also be like "you gave a civilian an atomic bomb" and given that Ichigo invaded soul society and destroyed like 1/4 of their forces they might have a point xD
Not spoilers ahead but getting ahead of the comments
I know there is more to the situation just playing devil advocate
What the fuck I didn't know that was the title of the episode 😂
my favorite episode, and the introduction of one of my favorite characters!
Love it when they eat their words , last week they were complaining, this week they got blown away and ain’t even the best part !!!
It's called Bleach in Reference to black turning to white like how life to death and back again. It's all about the cycle.
Best fight in the soul society arc
The title is basically my life.
Ichigo: He is my evil dead brother Fred. He died after someone cursed him by saying, "Drop Dead Fred."
need the next episode now!!!
ichigo did not win if anything it was more of a draw byakuya still had enough energy to move and flashstep away whilst ichigo was holding onto his sword just to keep his footing i think it’s clear who won this battle
Frick yeah. Double episode and we get the fight scene.
next ep gonna be craaazyy
During the introduction has suraj ever said surge protector?
Where is bleach 60????
Still one of the best episodes
Let’s go needed more of this
When me and my friends read Bleach live, we called "Hollow Ichigo" "Nobody", as that was the translation that had him say, "I'm Nobody," when Byakuya asked him who he was.
I will be coming back for the fight with Ulquiora
sukuna in Itadori was inspired by Ichigo and Hollow Ichigo dinamic
So... everyone will fight me on this because they're Ichigo fan boys but Byakuya lost to Ichigo on purpose... he unraveled his swords himself so Ichigo could hid him... with Ichigo's power and the legit "usage" of his(Byakuya's Bankai) he can say he fought down to the wire and lost as a cover hide the fact that he didn't go all out... if he used all of his swords in stage 2 Ichigo was done... then he didn't connect his final attack and Ichigo was clearly more hurt even after hitting Byakuya with his final attack. Ichigo clearly would've died if Byakuya actually hit him... Ichigo was strong enough that Byakuya could safely throw the fight without anyone being suspicious of him...
Honestly great reaction last two episodes you saw a lot of what Kubo was going for
so funny how some are so against Byakuya at this point , like Kill em fuck em up etc. and 99.9 of the case everybody loves him later. I guess that makes him just an awesome character. What I don't like is people judge so fast I guess. It bugs me.
There goes Ichigo’s plot armor again
not bro calling hollow Ichigo a Sukuna .....bruh
If this has been nipple stimulation, the next few are direct prostate I guess…I don’t know if I analogized that right but if you’ve seen the show you probably get it 😂😂😂
Basically, Kuchiki Byakuya is Judge Dredd, "I'm the law, and prepared to be judged".
I've watched Bleach twice and ain't no way that's the title of the episode lmao
All this Squares make a Circle....
Did Suraj said clean Win after Hollow Ichigo almost killed Byakuya??
What is Rana on about? “I’m your son!”??? Who is she even talking about.
finally you saw the Hollow in action 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
"I understand now, I was not his true enemy"
Byakuya's got some serious Main Character Syndrome going on...
Byakuya could be a cooler main character than ichigo
@@fate4034 Sure, but he spent that entire arc thinking Ichigo was after him, because he just assumed that was the case and never even bothered to look outside the bubble he surrounded himself with.
He's so unattentive and naive, just like all those "edgy" people who think they are the main character of everyone else's life, when they're just another obstacle.
Everyone wants to be M Bison, but almost everyone is that dude in the background on a loop clapping his hands...
Ep-60 about to Be Plot Twist
Is it me or does it sound like a hyena laugh when he has that thing on his face
"red eyes white dragon" is wrong on many levels....
Gonna have to agree with the comments that you have to be weird to not find the other fights interesting too. The story and all as well n
Double EP i loveeeeeeeeeeee it!!!
Thats Chris' Bankai power, ultimate edging!
Ichigo would of lost that fight to byakuya had it not for that hollow
not the GameShark reference.
