As you know, Emi, "vegan" food products appeal to non-vegans as well - particularly dairy-free foods. Nut and soy milks, frozen desserts, dairy free yogurts, even margarine (which is can be dairy-free and has been around for decades). So many people cannot digest milk (because we don't need milk once we are weaned from our mum). It's so great that people have options now and even small towns will bring in milk-free foods for locals because people buy them - vegan or not :D :D

Have you considered a move to Europe, or at least a slightly longer visit? Winters in the Mediterranean are mild, clean spring water in many places and relatively cheap to live in. Many countries to visit and great scenery.
