Since, you have hit a creative block Why don't you start over again and see the films of the early years like films during the Hollywood golden age , German expressionism, Soviet films , watch films of buniel , Visconti, mizuguchi , Renoir , Hitchcock and try to analyse it by multiple dimensions eg. Psycho analysis,socio political analysis, gender etc this will create a completely different pathways

After some time you won't find it rewarding as you will have virtually nothing new to add . So, you start to loose interest and find it boring . To stay ahead of the curve you need to target the areas which other you tubers rerely cover films of the earlier years or European art house classics .you already have your loyal audiences so, you don't find hard to attract new audiences and petreon members . Also, if you start watching those films it might throw few surprises for you . PTA,coen brothers are tremendously influenced by film noir directors like hawks,Capra , hauston, Wilders. Kauffman heavily borrow his stuff from Fellini (his masterpiece synecdoche,newyork resembles la dolce vita) Kaufman's humour and dialogue's are exact replica of the styles that Fellini used in 81/2. Scorcesse, terrantino both mix different styles but are direct product of french new wave and Italian neo realism . It’s sort of a problem of RUclips that I’ve noticed. Most famous thinkers have one big idea that they’re remembered for. But on RUclips/the internet, an essayist like you has to make a mind blowing analysis every week, but over the span of FOUR YEARS i think it’s pretty much impossible to have super impressive views on anything. I like watching RUclips channel ending videos. There’s something bittersweet about it. Knowing the person on the other side is moving to better things. Like ending a book. It kinda hurts it has ended but there is hope of a better world for us and the content creator that is to come

I've been subscribed to this channel in one way or another now for years and your ability to pick apart the finest details within any media you chose was amazing. I had absolutely been there with that slump but I've never had the same drive as you to push on through for so many weeks at a time so I can only imagine the creative burnout you must be feeling. I have an idea, create a poll somewhere of some great films you have planned to dissect in the past and the community has asked multiple times, and make one last dissection of the most voted. You could even do this once every few months, just to keep the channel alive and give us a glimpse of hope :(

Every time I discover a channel that I like and the creator is already wrapping up.
Same. I just stumbled upon his channel and I gotta say he’s one amazing critic. It makes me sad sometimes, if this is how he feels with such a successful channel, than a channel like mine is surely doomed to fail lol. Hopefully we see him again someday.

Live your life dude!!!! thats the best advice can give you, since i moved on ive been enjoying life A LOT MORE !!!!, i thought that was my life, behind a computer and putting thousands of hour just to go through footage thats not gonna be used...... too much time , IM DONE , enjoy your life !!!!!

Fair enough. I jumped into RUclips for the first time in 2014-15. I didn’t know what to watch, so I typed in “movie review”, being a movie enthusiast, and your Fantastic Mr. Fox’s Worldbuilding video popped up. If memory serves, you were my first subscription.
That said, life goes on. Not to bash on YT but it’s only the periphery of film-related life to go live.
Just let us subscribers know you will use this pedestal eventually, so we know not to unsub. It'll be much easier to start off a new endeavour.
I'd like to continue to make some videos (a la that Oscars video, favorite movies of the year, etc) but I won't be able to do the film dissections!
