Thank you to everyone for coming to the premiere and interacting with us in chat/leaving such great comments. This project meant a lot to our team and it was a lot of fun to walk down memory lane with you all. We've added chapters to the description for those that wish to skip around/revisit the video. Thanks again for all the support! 🙌
One thing this video really demonstrates is how phenomenal the casters are in CS. Hard to imagine a video this good being made for most esports because the hype plays don't always have hype commentary.
Some of these commentaries I can recite word for word just because of the emotion and impact they have. Casters are a huge part of hyping the crowd while also providing feedback of what's happening on the game. I've watched Valorant esports, and I'm just disappointed at how quiet the casters are for huge opening or kills.
I think the only other game that has great casters (or did when I used to watch) is rocket league. The great plays and hype moments always had great casting along with it.
At 40, I've spent thousands of hours enjoying Counter-Strike since 2001, even playing professionally from 2005-2008 alongside Belgium's finest. I took a break just before the CS:GO era but have recently reconnected with the game through my two young sons, now delving into CS2. As a father, coaching them has been a way to relive my prime years. Counter-Strike remains an unparalleled game to me. Its beauty lies in its simplicity - no fanciful characters or surreal elements, just a straightforward battle of wits and skills, with two teams and a C4. It's a testament to the timeless appeal of Counter-Strike's gameplay. Watching 'The Most ICONIC Moments in CS:GO History' documentary, I’m filled with excitement for the future of this phenomenal game. Here's to many more years of enjoying Counter-Strike!
Watched it live. Liquid was on their way to win the match, and cold single handedly stopped their momentum. It was insane to watch how liquid was lost after that round.
I never realized that in the 4 awps play, out of 5 members of fnatic the only one not wielding an awp is their fricking awper, JW. It was probably spawn-based since we see him rushing B but still, it makes the clip even more BM.
Even tho I didn’t really grow up with CsGo, I’ve seen some of these iconic moments like the jumping Awp, or my favorite one which is the “you’re about to make the biggest play of your career” something like that. What a video
I'm with you man. I read a comment attesting to the quality of professional commentators and its so true. That "you're about to make the play of your life" just adds like chills of excitement. "You can't do that simple! that's not allowed! this is not fpl this is a major!" I don't even know how good this play really is but the commentator just stays on beat and matches the energy lolv
This video moves your soul as a csgo player. All these moments whether you were a fan of the winners, or the losers. They are so iconic you just sit here with awe. It is amazingly well done. I am gonna miss csgo, it was huge part of my life and I am really sad they won't make it, it's own game like other cs's...
Guys, seriously, it's one of the best videos ever. You have done CSGO justice with this. The emotions and events during this video, the commentary and casting, were phenomenal. And I almost cried at the end. This was well done. Thank you, the Score esport.
The sad thing about the Stockholm whiff by niko is that it unfortunately overshadowed his otherwise god mode carry performance throughout the tournament
"oh guardian bye bye" is my favorite line of all time. I mean i was already standing on my chair at that point and then the casting just took that play out of the stratosphere.
21:27 This guy made me watch CS:GO even tho I didnt play. Imagine being so good at a weapon that you single-handedly become the reason valve nerf that weapon
You guys have really outdone yourself with this one, kudos to everyone involved in making this, and specifically Dimitri for his excellent story telling as always!
What wasn't said in the 9hp Zywoo Ace is that Zywoo took a speed nap between matches right before the ace, this was possible because Vitality was trying a 6 man roster at the moment, trying what Astralis started doing because some of its players were burnout and took a break.
43:36 I love how polite the fnatic kid’s celebration was, pogchamp and then gets out of the way. Really loved this one, CSGO was such a magical part of my life and I get chills watching some of these clips again. Thanks everyone who worked to put this together
fell in love with cs when my friend brought me to the boston major event, fell in love instantly, and got my first genuine. crazy how far our favorite game has come.
Simples heaven play was the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen in csgo. Watching it live in full speed was amazing. He was getting shot on that second no scope.
Excellent documentary guys. So much nostalgia in one video. Thank you. What I learned from this: bring back MR30. The comeback ability and iconic moments created by the longer matches will be forever lost on the new format of shorter matches.
I was an avid Immortals supporter during Krakow 2017. Both teams had amazing runs to GF as underdogs. Watching that last map on Inferno, Gambit were just amazing and it was a sweet moment because Zeus really deserved it.
Man this video had so much nostalgia for me. I remember I couldn't go to school because I was sick and saw that a CS:GO tournament was happening. I watched the Olofmeister boost happen live. Glad that Counter-Strike has been a part of my life for over 10 years now.
Cologne 2014 was the first tournament I ever watched, and it was LEGENDARY. Nothing has even come close to the high I felt watching all that drama, intrigue, monster plays, and comebacks.
Absolutely insane, I grew up watching these moments and it’s like I relived them again. Gonna save this video and show to my kids in the future, when they are going to ask what was counter strike. Time capsule and a masterpiece
the krakow 2017 major will forever be one of my absolute favourites. watching the hole zeus being kicked and then leading gambit with sheer force of will to a major victory live was one of the best times watching pro cs for me
Really great production. Well edited, contextualised highlights like this are more common in older sports, it's cool to see folks in this space experimenting with that. Nailing the fact that "iconic" moments are not always the most skill expressive. Sometimes something almost entirely random, at the right time and the right place can be so much more iconic.
I watched the entirety of that 2022 Cologne match live. Best counter strike match I’ve ever watched and it went the distance. Honestly incredible, and I’ll never forget the tension at 14-14 which was shattered by that entry. It’s the beautiful game.
Experiencing those iconic moments firsthand can be a truly unforgettable experience. The production team deserves a huge round of applause for creating such an incredible video, and we should all take a moment to thank CS:GO for providing us with such wonderful memories. Let's cherish these moments of joy and excitement and hold them close to our hearts.
dev1ce 1v5 deagle 1% chance on overpass vs vitality should be here, but ik they still lost the map and it wasn't a major, but still it was insane to see a 1% chance clutch
From a console kid turned PC player, I was late to the party with a lot of the great games' heyday, but with CS, it felt different, as if history could be made at every event. "The game that refused to die." Excellent production.
This video was a lot better than I thought it would be. From the promotion leading up to it I thought it was just going to be those guys sitting around a table talking about each play.
Thank you to everyone for coming to the premiere and interacting with us in chat/leaving such great comments. Goats 🐐
Glad to bhop down memory lane with you all
no word.exe?
edit: there was a word.exe
you guy's need to do a video like this but for league of legends.
+ REP

100%. I don't follow a lot of others esports games but I think CS has the best casters in the world.
I know right??? As a NAVI fan, until today, I can still remember word by word, as "Twistzz breaks NAVI's backs"
I think the only other game that has great casters (or did when I used to watch) is rocket league. The great plays and hype moments always had great casting along with it.
r6 has some goated casters too@ZorlicX
Spoiler Blocker
We all love and appreciate you
I heart you
How would these things be a spoiler though?
PIN THIS GUY!! @theScoreesports
You are the goat
I can't even comprehend how I watched an hour-and-a-half video without ever looking at the clock. Respect for the production, it was a joy to watch!
Thank you, a lot of care and effort into the telling of these stories by the team, so reading comments like yours make it all worth it 🙏
I thought the same thing and I dont even play csgo
Couldn't agree more!
wait, this video is 1h and a half long? i did not even noticed it ,was way too into it LOL
I didn't even realize it was an hour and a half. Legit felt like 25 minutes. I realized when I read your comment lmao
"The shepherd's staff takes down the goat" is an iconic line.
Sado has the most iconic calls for me, not even close
@SonderEpoch i didnt say calls. I said line. The happy call is the most iconic for sado for me.
isnt it shepherd's stab?
@JTimsssWhat?

what is your favorite cs ?
Fuck yea dude. I'm 34 now and this is a comment I can appreciate and respect 🙏
You could be a writer mate, well put
Dan moet ik jou wel kennen ;)
That is awesome
A JUMPING DOUBLE 🤯 FROM COLD 🥶 WHAT IS GOING ON RIGHT HOW DOES HE DO THIS!
Unthinkable scenes there on the B appartements 🗣🗣🗣
Watched it live. Liquid was on their way to win the match, and cold single handedly stopped their momentum. It was insane to watch how liquid was lost after that round.
that was the beginning of the sickest comeback in CSGO
My favorite moment in the video by far. The hype and casting was top tier
Fantastic selection of moments, this genuinely felt like a love letter to competitive CSGO.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. The project meant a lot to our team and we are happy we got to finally share it with you guys 🙌
because it was indeed a love letter, csgo is forever in our hearts man.
I never realized that in the 4 awps play, out of 5 members of fnatic the only one not wielding an awp is their fricking awper, JW. It was probably spawn-based since we see him rushing B but still, it makes the clip even more BM.
Wait I never saw that that's SO funny
Even tho I didn’t really grow up with CsGo, I’ve seen some of these iconic moments like the jumping Awp, or my favorite one which is the “you’re about to make the biggest play of your career” something like that. What a video
It’s AWP I can tell you’re a young Valo kid, the reason they named it OP is because of the significance of the AWP in CS
@imgizmo4706the jumping original poster. reddit guy doing jumping jacks
@imgizmo4706 yeah forgot to spell it like that, but still you get what I was saying.
cadian's 1v4 is definitely a good favorite. Watching the stream as the casters jokingly predicted it was insane
I'm with you man. I read a comment attesting to the quality of professional commentators and its so true. That "you're about to make the play of your life" just adds like chills of excitement.
"You can't do that simple! that's not allowed! this is not fpl this is a major!"

Im in tears
Guys, seriously, it's one of the best videos ever.
You have done CSGO justice with this. The emotions and events during this video, the commentary and casting, were phenomenal.
And I almost cried at the end.
This was well done.
Thank you, the Score esport.
The sad thing about the Stockholm whiff by niko is that it unfortunately overshadowed his otherwise god mode carry performance throughout the tournament
The Cadian 1v4 clutch still gives me shivers, everything lined up so perfectly I’ll never forget it
old inferno looks beautiful.
"oh guardian bye bye" is my favorite line of all time. I mean i was already standing on my chair at that point and then the casting just took that play out of the stratosphere.
That play is one of my favorites but I love the quiet “oh no…” after the first kill. He knows what’s about to go down
21:27 This guy made me watch CS:GO even tho I didnt play. Imagine being so good at a weapon that you single-handedly become the reason valve nerf that weapon
For someone like me who discovered CS recently, that might be one of the best videos that I’ve ever watched on RUclips !
Great job guys !
As someone who has played CS since 2003, I can tell you that it has been a lifetime of amazing things to watch. Love this game.
Honestly the thing that makes these plays iconic isn't only in the execution but also the hype commentary.
Poor Adren. I've noticed that he was on the opposing sides for a lot of these insane clips.
You guys have really outdone yourself with this one, kudos to everyone involved in making this, and specifically Dimitri for his excellent story telling as always!

Cadian play is the most impressive for sure
"9.9/10" that 0.1 reserved for that major
The intro was awesome
this video makes me feel so old... because i've watched all of these tournaments live... i turned 30 3 months ago, im not even that old.
KennyS broke my life
29:38 imagine apEX's recatio to just seing a court room of AWPs staring into his soul
Expected a typical compilation but was pleasantly suprised to see so much more work put into the video, amazing job!
23:30 bro had me thinking a fire alarm was goin off in the distance
43:36 I love how polite the fnatic kid’s celebration was, pogchamp and then gets out of the way.
Really loved this one, CSGO was such a magical part of my life and I get chills watching some of these clips again.
Thanks everyone who worked to put this together
having watched the cadian clutch live i have to say I think that is such an incredible casting-gameplay combination we will never see again.
Just crying , witnessing all these movements in my child hood, Thanks you CS:GO and bye bye .........
4 me is hikos inhuman reaction still one of the most moment.
That look from Pasha at the end. Oof 😢 just want to hug the man.
I still hope that one day we can all experience CS:GO once more...
That feeling when you know every single moment of these. So much good memories with cs go.
im missing some of fallen, the most iconic IGL/awper/comunity builder that lifted a whole continent and dominated the world for over 2 years.
fell in love with cs when my friend brought me to the boston major event, fell in love instantly, and got my first genuine. crazy how far our favorite game has come.
Simples heaven play was the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen in csgo. Watching it live in full speed was amazing. He was getting shot on that second no scope.

such a miscall to not name the stewie b hold the "bhold the stewie3k"
C9 “we’re going to overtime!” Gets me teary eyed every time
45:13
This reaction is timeless, really wow
It might not have been at the highest level , but the Summit 1G Molotov has to be here for me haha
the higlight reel at the beginning gave me goose bumps like nothing ever did
1:18:48 you can hear someone queuing for a comp game in the background
snax big apple is my favorite announcer call in cs :)
God damn I’m bout to cry
Outro Song
Always and Forever - Yannick Kalfayan .
Thank you CS:GO 🥲
So sad that the " OH MY GOD, HIKO ARE YOU KIDDING ME" clutch on mirage is not show in this video
Man this video had so much nostalgia for me. I remember I couldn't go to school because I was sick and saw that a CS:GO tournament was happening. I watched the Olofmeister boost happen live. Glad that Counter-Strike has been a part of my life for over 10 years now.
We need more videos like this. Cs is so beautiful
Cologne 2014 was the first tournament I ever watched, and it was LEGENDARY. Nothing has even come close to the high I felt watching all that drama, intrigue, monster plays, and comebacks.
I was literally crying for Niko 😢
1:21:09 this play is now called "canada" XD
snax made me wanna start playing cs again 43:49
And parents still say you got no future in the gaming world.
1:16:10 Yeah... I watched it live and I felt chills in my bones when I cringed so hard because of the whiff...
23:30 why is there a constant beeping wtf
Absolutely insane, I grew up watching these moments and it’s like I relived them again. Gonna save this video and show to my kids in the future, when they are going to ask what was counter strike. Time capsule and a masterpiece
The Shepherds Staff takes down the GOAT! One of the best calls in modern CS
Im not crying, you are
The cadian clutch gave me chills just cause of the casting done.
I wish we could go back in time. In CS and in rl.
the krakow 2017 major will forever be one of my absolute favourites. watching the hole zeus being kicked and then leading gambit with sheer force of will to a major victory live was one of the best times watching pro cs for me
I’m new to this game!
But I was seeing the CS old version I want to see that!
Man what a nostalgic video 😢❤
that last part dust 2 made me so emotional
Didnt know that kennys ace in banana was after the nerf.
Damn KennyS.
Bro the NiKo one hurts so much. God dammit
KennyS with a AWP was something special.
awesome commentator at 32:19
I miss sadokist's casting for real
Imagine being on stage for the KQLY shot and still winning majors today.
Sado has been key to some of the most iconic moments announcements.
I watched the entirety of that 2022 Cologne match live. Best counter strike match I’ve ever watched and it went the distance. Honestly incredible, and I’ll never forget the tension at 14-14 which was shattered by that entry. It’s the beautiful game.
Someone who has actually watched all these moments live
Experiencing those iconic moments firsthand can be a truly unforgettable experience. The production team deserves a huge round of applause for creating such an incredible video, and we should all take a moment to thank CS:GO for providing us with such wonderful memories. Let's cherish these moments of joy and excitement and hold them close to our hearts.
Thank you for that jumping awp Cold...
Niftys godly inferno should have got a mention
My dad always has been a bit confused by gaming in general, I think I've found a way to show him why sometimes it's more than just pixels on a screen.
dev1ce 1v5 deagle 1% chance on overpass vs vitality should be here, but ik they still lost the map and it wasn't a major, but still it was insane to see a 1% chance clutch
Cadian clutch gave me old school cs plays vibes ,it was magnificient .
From a console kid turned PC player, I was late to the party with a lot of the great games' heyday, but with CS, it felt different, as if history could be made at every event. "The game that refused to die." Excellent production.
Of course the most iconic and exciting FPS ever would also have the most iconic and exciting clips ever 🦦
Every god damn moment was a movie in its own , you can take each of major victors make a netflix documentary about and watch it break records.
How come our 30 minutes online class is longer than this video
holy fuck first 2 mins and i already got goosebumps.
the last love letter to csgo simply perfect
the ending with the dust 2 is just fantastic
That Cadian moment was the most amazing play
I was wondering where that Ropz’s ace against g2 was for that final faze segment. Yea now that I’m reminded of Twistz’s drop this makes sense
Many great plays but the main takeaway from this video is that Machine is the greatest caster in esports history
you guys need to do one like this for dota
the amount of goosebumps and nostalgia is insane, am in literal tears
This video was a lot better than I thought it would be. From the promotion leading up to it I thought it was just going to be those guys sitting around a table talking about each play.
