    Snax must have thrown it by pressing W+A while crouched to make use of wallstrafing, as well as standing up just before (or by simultaniously) jump-throwing for extra speed. He always had super innovative line-ups like the one for heaven on Nuke where he lined himself up while running out of T spawn.

      Maybe youre right, but you dont wall strafe when pressing w so he would have to press W let go and then press A

      @@Stoffercss Since he's angled to the left you'd be able to use w+a to press against the left side wall and get the proper forward movement I think. Coming from a surfing perspective, you'd be able to wall-strafe against the surf block by pressing w+a or w+d, the thing that changes with that is just where you are looking towards.

      After some testing, I found a standing W+A works, no need for crouch. It's kinda inconsistent but cool nonetheless.

    Heard about this video on Talking Counter, so props to the boys! When ropz mentioned in the last episode that this is a nice "documentary", i was like huh? a documentary about a window smoke?
    Yeah, it really was such a trip. Wish I had as much free time as you do, Mahone! Btw, your bits during pro tournaments when you analyze certain plays are sooo good. You are doing top tier content, can't imagine how much work and time you have to dedicate for a video like this. Well done!

    i was wonderin what u were cookin up and i was not expecting it but man it did not disappoint, i love how you can see the logic behind each evolution and its really cool to see which players and teams lead innovation and which teams were quickest at stealing new discoveries, i still remember when the instant window smokes came out and how excited you were about the timing windows that opened up so it makes perfect sense for u to make this video
    there are so many possibilities for a series like this, i think an obvious follow up could be nuke outside smokes because of how much variation there has been there and theres been so much evolution in how teams lurk around the smokes or play thru them

    I knew I was a Counter Strike nerd for awhile. I have been playing for years and watching the pros for just as long. But man I just spent 19 minutes watching a video about ONE smoke for ONE map for csgo and was intrigued the entire time and loved every minute. Keep making this great content!

    Such a well made video! I started watching Counter Strike last year because competitive call of duty has become absolute trash to watch. I love how much more team work is involved in CS, a more slow pace game, variety weapon choice, and they have a ton of tournaments in a year whereas in call of duty we are lucky to get 6

      Jumpthrowing is so much easier in CS2, so there is really no need for that.

    i always felt like lining smokes up with the geometry was such a weird (unintended?) mechanic, but its depth knows no bounds and this video shows off how valve letting players creativity run wild has resulted in an incredibly high skill ceiling.

    Sometimes I'm asking myself whether or not the Game Devs implement this on purpose and are well aware of these possibilities way before teams find this out and use it (like the exact textures etc. required for the perfect throws) or if this is just something that is randomly there.

      they could simply keep in mind the possibilities and make sure the buildings or whatever they can use are detailed enough so they can be used for lineups by the community

    for a game as popular as CS, the lack of high quality and popular content surrounding the game has always confused me.
