Love your voice. Light tapping is one of my favorite triggers. Hand movements are just annoying but, your bust line is very nice.
The true horror of religion, it allows decent and sane people to believe by the billions what only lunatics could believe on their own. If God really is responsible for designing the system that produces sin, then he is fully responsible for the outcomes his system produces. There is no wiggle room.
I pray that you come to know that Jesus Christ is Lord before it’s too late. One way or another, you will be humbled. I just recommend you do it willingly because you’ll regret it when you have to face the King one day and give an account for your unbelief and pride. I’ll be praying for you.
That is the main reason I never could accept Calvinism, but I've found provisionism and the idea of free will as delegated authority to be persuasive. A God who is merely a puppeteer is not maximally great, and neither does he merit much glory. But a God who would create beings and grant them the ability to choose him back, also requires the option of rejection. Ergo, sin.
A greater question is this: if there is no God, how can you say anything is evil?
@@merrygrammarian1591 Sin is an imaginary disease designed to sell you an imaginary cure. Most people have empathy, participate in society and are able to determine what is of benefit to them and to others. The Golden Rule, which predates the bible, 'treat others as you would like to be treated' has universal appeal and is how most people arrive at what they believe is right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable. Trying to make the teachings in the bible fit the modern world has thankfully meant a rolling back from biblical ideas that promote slavery, human sacrifice, the subjugation of women and the condemnation of naturally occurring sexuality. It seems to me that secular society develops a dynamic set of moral and legal standards through discussion and agreement, based on our own experience and moral sense, regardless of what it says in the bible.
I can understand your feelings on religion as I used to feel the same way. People who are not true followers of Christ have used the Bible to falsely justify terrible things they've done, there's no doubt about that. I am going to attach some links to explain a few of the things that you talked about- slavery and human sacrifice. When pulling scripture out of context, it can look as if the Bible may be endorsing these things but it definitely isn't.

I'm truly sorry if religion has hurt you or anyone else. At times in my life, I felt hurt by it too. I finally realized I can't look at people, even other Christians, to show me who God is. I have to come to Him for that. And once I did my life was completely transformed for the better. Chains that had been holding me back for decades literally have been broken. I know nothing that I say will convince you to turn to God, but I'll be praying for you. 💙🙏
