TURKISH ELECTRIC OUD AOS-101G
Oud is known as the king, the sultan of the instruments. It is one of the most preferred string instruments in the performance of art and folk music in a large area from Greece to North Africa, the Middle East, and Arabia. Ouds produced according to specific performance features in different regions are available in our store. Turkish, Arabic and Syrian ouds are the prominent oud instruments, and we have many oud models preferred by oud performers all over the world. Our Turkish, Arabic and Syrian oud models also come with their electric versions. Electric ouds meet different needs of oud performers with their electric accessories. Electric ouds are easy to carry, and their lightness facilitates performers’ trips and long journeys spent on the road. The timbre of electric ouds brings a different approach to performance. Many musicians performing art and folk music prefer electric oud when they adopt a contemporary approach while they are performing and want to obtain different sounds than the sound of acoustic ouds. Musicians prefer electric oud also for its conveniences, such as adjusting the volume, playing the oud in silent mode, etc. With their pickup system, you can connect them to the sound system easily. In our store, left-hand Turkish electric ouds, professional Arabic electric ouds, professional Turkish Electric ouds, Syrian professional electric ouds, Turkish professional half-cut electric ouds, and silent ouds are available for the musicians. Turkish electric ouds can be used as electric or acoustic oud with the pickup and equalizer built in the instrument. Turkish professional electric ouds in our store are with maple bowls, spruce faces, and ebony fingerboards and bridges. We also have Turkish electric oud models, which are designed as half ouds. These half ouds are not heavy; therefore, they are easy to carry around. Turkish electric ouds are tuned like Turkish ouds. We also provide Turkish silent electric ouds made of mahogany. Arabic electric ouds are slightly different than Turkish electric ouds; they are tuned one step lower. Arabic electric ouds have a walnut bowl, spruce face, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, bone rosettes. Arabic electronic ouds also have professional models. The bowls of professional Arabic electric ouds are made by mahogany. Syrian professional electric ouds also have Mahogany bowls. They have a spruce face, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, and bonerosettes. Syrian electric ouds are very similar to Arabic electric ouds in terms of their tuning. Their size is slightly bigger than the Arabic ouds. On the other hand, they contain the same facilities as Arabic electric ouds. What's really neat about the Geared tuners (it can be strung with 11 or 12 Strings depending on what you like) is that it also puts the strings at a steeper angle over the nut when they come into the headstock which is actually a Slotted Angled Headstock.
Another big reason I like having a built in tuner is because Nylon Strings take a while to stretch especially when they're new.

Those geared tuners are certainly an improvement over the friction pegs cause with that many strings to keep in tune (11 or sometimes 12 depending on what the Musician wants to do on the instrument) those make a big difference. Also the built in tuner makes a really big difference cause it allows us to get it tuned to pitch in a snap.
Without snapping the strings, of course! 😆 Seriously, one complement the other, as its easier to snap strings with geared tuners than with friction pegs.
@@AdlerMow That would be if the bridge & nut aren't lubricated enough plus it uses Nylon strings. Seriously Nylon strings take a long time to stretch.

I just received (March 2020) the Arabic version of this Oud. What I like is the low action. I’m using the strings that came installed on the Oud and probably won’t replace them with a Kürschner C-Arab2 set until I come proficient. The included tuner is ok for home use - maybe not in a formal performance setting. The only negative is the tuners which seem a little stiff. However, I have been told that it’s take time for the Oud to adjust to climate so it may take awhile for the instrument to find its sweet spot in being tuned.
I am an absolute beginner on the instrument; consequently, it will be a good starter Oud for me. 🇺🇸

I wish it was more traditional looking. It sounds very good but I think some of the "soul" of the instrument is lost when it is made so modern.
It sounds like an amplified Oud cause it has Nylon Strings and you use a Pick. The geared tuners make tuning it to pitch a snap.
It's shaped like a Normal Oud but with a cutaway to make the higher notes easier to reach.
The shape is actually a very special variant of the traditional shape to facilitate holding it properly

Yes, presys 301 fork on ouds. But piezo must be oud's piezo, you can buy oud piezo separetly

@@SalaMuzik So it sounds like an amplified oud. The nylon strings are much easier on the left hand than steel strings. That's why alot of beginner Guitarists use Nylon String Guitars

Good question. I suspect it is not. They tune the oud slightliy differenty (C to C),. Also not sure about the scale length of the oud. But I would be curious to get the answer to your question.

@@SalaMuzik You can use a wireless system because I don't wanna break my cable. The Strings on an Oud are the same material as classical guitar strings. Turkish oud tuning is in fourths which from high to low is, D, A, E, B, F-sharp, & C-sharp. Keep in mind Turkish music is written a fourth above where it's typically played. For example if you see a C in the Music you're actually going to play the G beneath it on the Oud. Turkish people want ya to transpose down a fourth from concert pitch which is where the transposing challenge comes in.
