I love the Rock Brain anomaly. Not many know this, but if you are necromancer lithoids, you can reanimate it into your own pet rock. You get a asteroid you can control. It does not do much, but you get it.
Fun minor detail here, any empire that can have a active necromancing civic of any kind. Can do the process, but you need a lithiod leader to actaully perform that anomaly. So If you find it as a non-lithiod empire, get immigration/conquest lithoid leader to do it.
Interesting, I documented and screenshotted the digsites a long time ago - I wonder if this was a change, or due to the empire I was playing as at the time.
@@vainthatoneoverhere I committed galactic wide genocide after a member of the galactic community killed bubbles. I was playing as a isolationist robotic species that tried to protect space amoeba and tiyanki.
The "accidental genocide" reminds me of the chapter in "Deathworlders" where they found out that colonists dumping their sewage in the wild created an extinction level event where the natural biome was eventually going to be genocided by earth gut bacteria, fungus and molds. This resulted in most races condemning the contamination while other species admitted that Deathworlders can't really colonize normal worlds without eventually replacing them with their own. Think of it as the science fiction equivalent of bringing smallpox to North America.

Here on Earth, we'd never do something as short-sighted as spending our entire economy on trying to protect the people from aliens. We'd spend enough to build shelters for the rich and powerful, then they'd continue to run the economy from inside their bunkers while the rest of us toiled away, waiting for the aliens to arrive.

They are very few of "stread carefully and learn more before make a choice" and so, have a good result. It's one of my biggest hang up with the game.
You are talking about a universe where Blackholes are interdimensional gateways to Psychic realms, Literal crystals are used in weapons warfare and the strongest alloy known to man is in fact the scales of a space dragon. I think it might work exactly like that.

Smallpox was a early chic war. It was NOT accidental, and given to American native fully knowing it will kill them.
