Really cool. Thanks a lot for the video. You can also connect both strings to the same battary, just unskrew the cords from one of them and skrew them into the other one, so that you get two cords under each skrew. It shouldnt effect the light if you connect them correct.
Just remove the battery from the pack before you begin to do anything with the cords. And pay attention at + and - signs near the screws, where the cords sit, when you modify it, or it could be that the lights dont work, if it is connected in a wrong way. Those diod lights are built in such a way, that currency runs though them in one direction, but gets blocked if it tries to run back. If you are not sure about anything, you are welcomed to ask.
How wonderful! I just found out about these things called "Moon Lights" that you might find super useful too. They're battery operated LEDs that are teeeeeny teeny tiny, but give of a LOT of great glow and shine! And the kicker? They're itty bitty dots that run on super-thin wire, like jewelry wire, with itty-bitty battery packs to boot, so they might be more easily sewn into stuff than the trad. faerie lights made for other decor use. ^_^ -Buuut I'm not sure if they'd be long enough for this purpose, so you'll have to check 'em out and let us know whatcha think! ^_^ (Just look up Darice Moon Lights" on Amazon to give you an idea of what I'm referring to. :)) And cheers for the great tutorial! ♥♥
Sorry about my late response, Desiree! Hm, I would test it first before going all out. Some fabric starts to rip from small holes, and the weight of the lights would make that worse. If the fabric is soft, polyester chiffon, then it may not hold well.
these would be perfect for a rave! so beautiful!
I tried ghe wings for my daughter.they turned out beautiful .Thank you so much for an easy explanation
I will try this in a month when it will be October and make a light up fairy costume for Halloween. 😁

That's so cool! I wanted to just have 1 battery pack, but I had no knowledge of this. Scared to try, but I must research... Thanks, Olga! :D

thinking of buying some then sowing on the led lights, do you think polyester would be a strong enough material?
