Hi - just started painting and came across the Studio Silver Creek tutorials. I'm getting ready to start with this tutorial in particular, Saw your comments and hope you were eventually getting success, How's it going?
@@irvsheffey1000 I abandoned this technique but I did paint a canvas black, let it dry and then painted it with about an 80-20 ratio of black paint to alcohol, then while still wet I slung the same ratio of white paint and alcohol at it like Pollock a couple times and it made a pretty cool effect. Kinda looks like a closeup of lightning. I like it enough it hangs in my office at work.

I just tried this and nothing happened. Was my paint too thick? Did I use the wrong strength alcohol? What happened?
What did you use for spraying? Thanks
She used isopropyl alcohol😏🙂
I just tried again with 50/50 paint to water and still nothing. I am using 91% alcohol. Should I be using 70% or is this technique bullshit?
