- ARMACAO DE PERA THE ALGARVE - Portugal 2020 We do a walking tour of Armacao de Pera showing you apartments, the best cafes and the Fisherman beach ( Praia dos Pescadores ), We find the ancient castle of Armacao de Pera, (Fortaleza de Armação de Pêra) with the wonderful chapel of Capela de Santo António a beautiful small chapel.
The promenade stretches along the sea front from the Holiday Inn on the Western side to the Fishermans Beach on the eastern side of the town. It's a great town to stay in as the terrain is so flat and easy to walk. The beaches are 4 kilometres long and spectacular.
We highly recommend you to visit or stay in Armacao de Pera on The Algarve.

Another sunny perfect day. Beautiful beaches and those cliffs are stunning. Imagine the sunset on those cliffs. I agree that view is Priceless Norm. Loved the Baptismal font. €5.00 wow! that is great value for lunch. Yes its warming up as you took off your warm Jumpers. Love the white and yellow walls. That ice cream cone looks great. That little Chapel is very cute. Thank you for sharing another adventure. Thumbs up!

It's so beautiful to see the town and the hotels along the water, and the church was very beautiful! That's awesome that place had Dish of the Day for 5 Euros, but sucks they were closed when you got there! Isn't that always the way LOLOL!! TFW Holiday inn has the best view you can ask for , it also has an Indian restaurant in it but it doesn’t open till February. The tiles are beautiful. 🌺

Greetings from fellow retirees from Mississauga, Ontario! You reminded us of the memories of Armacao de Pera [pron. Ahrmashao dei Peyra] where in November 2019 we spent lovely time at a Pestana resort next to the striking chapel at the end. Unfortunately, so much has happened since and we can't go back.
TFW glad you had a great time in November , we were there in February this year, but with so much happening with travel restrictions we won’t be back this Winter either. In the meantime we are enjoying our Canadian backyard hope you are staying safe and keeping well have a great week Cheers 🍷👍🍺

You are getting gorgeous weather! The Calçada Portuguesa (Portuguese sidewalks, cobblestone streets, are made with black and white Limestone. There is quite an art form to installing them... and it requires quite the expertise, to do it right). They are a thing of beauty in some places... and I love that you seem them all over the place. When I first lived in Atouguia I was tickled that even my driveway and garage floors, and my back and from patios where the same cobbled limestone. And sim, slippery when wet! 🤗

As we approach our retirement I've gleaned so much information and encouragement from your channel so I want to thank you ❣ Yes this town is a mouthful. I told my mom to think of it as giving a pig a gun - ARM a Sow duh PAIRa (when you say the Sow-think of the ow as if someone pinched you and you exaggeratedly say aOWW) Sorry if that's silly but that ao is not easy lol

Hey guys! I know you had to fly back due to Canada's borders being shut.
Hope you are all well! Anyway as i usually do, how to say Armacao de
Pera! He is how. Arm-A-Sound-DA- PEAR-A. Anyway it means A Pear's core.
Like after you have eaten it. Funny but it's true. Bin there many times.
My aunt has an apartment there. My parents have some property there up
in hills behind the town. Anyway now we have to be kept at home which is
frustrating but necessary. Stay safe, stay well. Hopefully we can get
out of this mess soon. I enjoy watching your videos. All the best from

Hi Helene And Serge TFW yes it is winter here and lots of places are not open till either Feb or March.
But it some ways that is good as there are a lot less people around. Yes we found a nice lunch hope you are both well and keeping warm .

That was a lovely little explore. I'm good to go for my day now. Believe it or not, the sun is out here, too! And sorry about the lack of comments facility on my last upload. That'll be COPA! I couldn't really get away with not marking that one as 'made for kids' as the show is recommended from age 10 up. The CPM on it's a little over £1. Ironically, it'll probably do relatively well, as well, given its searchable nature (cries).
We enjoyed seeing Armacao again, we had even practised our pronunciation! We understood that you would have to play it safe with COPA thats why we added a comment here, is £1 a good CPM? It would be great if the video went ballistic for you 🚀
Great job on this video. What a beautiful day you had. Any plans to visit Tavira, Ilha Deserta, Culatra or Ilha do Farol? One of those islands, I believe it's Culatra, has some really unique little homes lining their walking paths. I think you would absolutely love walking around there. Ilha Deserta also has amazing seashells along its coast. My daughter didn't want to leave! Oh how I miss it : )

Another lovely day in the Algarve. Great walk today also. We have had two days of sunshine in Gothenburg too. I was out walking and filming earlier today and I have just started the editing. Looking out through the window now it's SNOWING! First time this winter...

I was there in 1986 for four months so I got to know it well looks like there’s been huge changes much of the old town is gone high rise apartments is now much closer to the beach oh well 👍🏻🍻anyways great video you’re not pronouncing the town right 😆

Hello Robert, many of the towns in the Algarve are great to retire to, our number one points on choosing town would be that it is flat and not hilly, also how busy do you want it to be in summer. Praia de Roche, Armacao, Lagos and Alvor are all nice towns. Thanks for watching.

We drove our rental car to Spain it's a two and a half hour drive to Seville. Faro is the only International Airport in The Algarve and has flights all over Europe from there.
