So happy someone made one of these. Been wanting to do one for photos, but wasn't sure exactly how to go about it. Thank you so very much. My next project.
This is my only one with a lid, and since I'm hurting for storage space, it helps to be able to stack boxes, but . . . I have six storage systems that are open for viewing! :)
Thank you Lolly, I love that you always have a solution for us crafters that can't buy every tool or item and that you share them with us! I am on the hunt now for an old Rolodex if I don't see one I may make the box, which really is so much prettier than the Heidi Swap one . 💕🇨🇦🌸🌺🌞🐣🐰
Wow, you are so resourceful, I love it! I am going to join a rolodex card swap and I've never used them before and don't want to go buy a bunch of stuff. Now I can make my own cards and my own holder! Thanks!
Oh my goodness! I was laying in bed last night thinking how can I create my own "Dex" container and then you came up on my youtube out of no where. Well, needless to say, I am a new subbie and I will be trying this out. Thanks for the tutorial!
You are welcome! I have other storage ideas as well, plus how to make a Dex box out of chipboard. The entire Dex playlist is here: ruclips.net/p/PL4gDAGNgtKMHZFx7Xw_raQwgNXAvM4S-g
I make my own boxes out of wood strips and cardboard and can easily convert some of them into my cards storage. I will try to use bbq skewers. Thanks a lot for detailed video!
It all depends on the diameter. The skinny sticks I used were a bit too skinny, so I ended up covering them with straws. Test the cards on the bamboo before putting them in. :)

You make a craft that was unattainable possible to make and enjoy, thank you for sharing all your ideas!
thank you so much, Pamala. :)
Good idea and beautiful box, I made one simular without a lid because I love seeing all the different cards in my craft room, yes hugs

And we can always decorate a box. The plastic Rolodex is harder to decorate.

I'm late to the game, but this looks like a great idea, or maybe even to find trays to use....
Perfect! There are many possibilities
I think Foam Board from the dollar store might be faster than gluing the paper together.
there are many ways -- cardboard, too. Have fun!
Bamboo skewers would work, maybe?
