When you started throwing the paint down on the cards I was aghast... but then you pulled it all together so beautifully and made my mixed media heart sing.
Thank you for sharing, this gives me a great idea to do with my daughters! Instead of Christmas, holiday, birthday, missing you or get well etc. we can send each other a completed Rolodex card! When we miss each other, we can go back and look at what we created for each other. Much better than storing a card away and each of our personalities will shine too!!
I love this! I remember them a few years ago and been on and off looking for Rolodex but they been hard to come by and I finally found one today at a thrift store and I’m so excited!
I absolutely love this!! I do have several Rolodex card holders as well. What a great use for them! I love all your videos but my favs are watching you art journal, soul book, this kind of thing with Rolodex!! Who am I kidding, I like it all!! Just enjoy watching you create in whatever you choose to share and I get inspired! So......Thank You Christie B!! 😊
Love the idea of truth cards! I really like you technique of putting many together and working them as a complete page. I would be so excited to see more. Thank you...
Thank you, Bridgett! I like the idea of doing a lot of the at once too - it makes the process go faster, which for someone who is as impatient as I am - that is HUGE! :-) thanks for watching! ~Chrissie ;-)
I totally get that bee in bonnet LOL I have done the same with that brand and others. I actually sold two complete sets of paints because I had so much , I was overwhelmed. I do that that BIG ROLLER Rollodex and I havent done a thing with it as of yet, but Im now on a mission to do it. Im so glad I came across your video. I love the idea of that small one, because the big one is so overwhelming. Like am I ever gonna fill it up? I keep saying to myself, However if I dont start I never will. So I ordered some dies and things, from Aliexpress for rollo dex. Love your ideas, thank you thank you These cards look so awesome. Love your technique and telling us dont over think it
that is so very cool! I just got one of those big rolodex round holder, I had started a smaller one so using those cards in it but love the idea of doing that process with them!
That is awesome, miss Vicky! I started doing this one card at a time too, but because I am so impatient, I had to think of something quick to make the process feel a little more productive!! :-) Hugs to you, miss Vicky! ~Chrissie :-)
Beautiful Creatives I agree totally! I also hv a large round rolodex, but needed a more aggressive process to ‘move it along’! I like the multiple cards background done @ one time. THX for spurring me on;)) ~ Terry Y
Great idea to do backgrounds and have them ready to go. Love the colorful cards but would love to see less layers. Making a Bible verse Rolodex project and would like to keep it simple. The theme for February is valentine's of course 😊 Any suggestions? Thank you for sharing 😍
Great project and I love the colours you chose.. I have one of the big roller rolodexes floating around here somewhere - if I didn't sendt it to goodwill!! When we moved into our new building where I worked, a lot of the "useless stuff" got tossed and I liberated the rolodex and a load of cards from the goodwill pile. Hope I still have it!
First time watching your youtube, love it, I want my family and friends to make cards to add to the index, kind of like a memory place. I did subscribe cuz I don't want to miss your new videos, your spool very gifted and artsy, thanks for sharing.
This has been so helpful to me! I've been wanting to do a Rolodex Inspirational Art Journal and I did one card last week and found it hard to do just one at a time. Today I taped them together and did the process you did and it was so easy and I have 8 cards now that I can add my favorites quotes or words too! Just a brilliant way to do this!
Love these. Great idea to tape them together. Definitely doing this too! Hope to see more of yours. By the way last weeks journal page was gorgeous too. x
Thank you, miss Emma!! I am all about quick and easy!! which leaves less time for complicated and throwing in the towel!! Hugs to you, friend!! ~Chrissie ;-)
It’s now 2021 and your $3.00 card punch is now $50.00 on Ebay and I only found one! So I hope you’re holding on to yours. I enjoyed both of your videos. It’s so much fun to watch other create and learn from them. I love ideas on how to use old office supplies in a good way. They don’t sale at yard sales, decorated they will, if I can part from them. 😉
this is the first video I have seen of yours, and I instantly subscribed😃 thank you so much for the awesome idea I've been really into the Rolodex and designing cards for I over a year and just like you I was overwhelmed this is an awesome, awesome idea💞 thank you so much for sharing😙
Love this idea. This would work well with index cards, or ICAD’s as well. I will have to look at charity shops, I’d love to do this for myself. Peace and love to you.
HI Chrissie. You gave me a great idea. I hope I didn't click a button by accident. I saw a pop-up but not what it said. probably should have had my coffee first. Creative Blessings!
This is wonderful! Thank you 🧘🏻♀️ I hope there’s an update (I just found you!). I’m going to check for update to see how this has turned/turning out!!
WOW ! I want to try ! Amazing project ......I've.got 3-4 Rolodex that I've been stuck on starting ......question though. How did you make the paper.not buckle /warp from all the work done on my.on one side ?
Victoria, my cards did wrinkle a little bit, but not too badly, but I didn't do anything special to make them behave. If they were to wrinkle too badly, I would probably make sure that they were thoroughly dry and then put them throughout a really heavy book, and maybe even put a weight on top of that, to press them flat again. If you are having problems with warping, try not to get the cards too wet. Make sure to dry each layer of your work thoroughly before moving on to the next layer. I hope this helps! Good luck, miss Victoria, and thanks for watching!! ~Chrissie ;-)
Enjoyed! Now, what hv u got going on with your washi?? I like how accessible & organized it is! What do you have them strung onto? Think I will use my gelli plate to get some color on my taped together cards;) ~ Terry Y
Good morning, Terry! I had my washing stored on large embroidery hoops. It was convenient, and I was able to hang them on the wall like colorful circle art!! I hope this answers your question!! Great big hugs to you! ~Chrissie ;-)
Thank you, Terry! Unfortunately, since I have moved, I did not have the wall space to store my rings of Washington, so I now have them all piled in a drawer, which is fun too, but it does cause me to have to dig a little! Thanks for watching my vid! I hope you have an AMAZING Saturday!! ~Chrissie ;-)
Do you have information on the business card punch like brand, where you bought it, ant product numbers? I looked online but they seemed to punch the card not holes.
Oh no, I just checked that out and WOWZA!!! okay, skip that tool then! I also use a Heidi Swapp Memorydex Hole punch, let me see if I can find one of those and send you a link to that! :-) heidiswapp.com/product/memorydex-hole-punch/ Let me know if this helps!! :-) Good luck to you and thanks so much for watching my vids!!! ~Chrissie ;-)
Thank you, miss Diane! I agree! There are a lot of times, while I am editing, that I get really frustrated with myself because I just ramble on!! I will be working on this!! ~Chrissy ;-)
