Thank you all for helping me reach 100K subscribers (either currently or later today). This year there is much more math to come.
I just want to say how impressed I am by people who can understand Math at the higher levels. As much as I’ve tried in school and in my personal time it’s just never seemed to click for me. So props to you guys for pushing the world forwards 👍
Such a respectable comment
You can do it it if you stick to it. Don't be in a rush to move on, make sure you're comprehension is at every level. There unlimited resources a available for free, as well as amazing tool to help you ( Wolfram alpha is amazing, but you could also play with a with a graphing calculator. This can save you a ton of time and effort to explore how things work). If you are determined, you can do it.
People who don't try to understand math continue to hate math and it causes them to stay far away from math
My biggest advice is to master algebra, because every lesson requires you to know every lesson before it
Its not like other subjects where you can just forget the other lessons cause you wont need them now.
@@johnmarcusengreso8273math doesn't start with algebra. it starts with arithmetic, number theory, basic operations.
In South Korea, we learn Calculus in 2 semesters. We skip Calc 1 as we learn most of those stuffs in high school.
Books like this exist yet my college professors still choose textbooks from 1948
Sometimes it's hard to move on from the classics!
Category theory is a nice subject to study 'tho ... :)
Haven't yet looked through Stewart's yet, but interested to hear what you think about Spivak
I love Spivak! I have a first edition; I'll do a video review of it in my Math Library series sometime soon.
Thomas calculus is also my go-to guide.
I wish that was my mom 😢
I lost my copy of Stewart’s calculus and I’ve been searching my house like crazy.
It's now a load-bearing wall.
What about calc 4 (multi variable)?
Multivariate calculus is in Stewart
Multi variable is 3
Calc 4 is sometimes what they call Diff Eq, which Stewart only has 1 chapter on.
Solutions to even questions aren't given
Looks familiar. Pretty sure i had that one
It’s a treasure!
screw the blood and crip discussion are you thomas or stewart 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
I didn’t realize until recently that James Stewart’s Calculus has an online defense force 😂😂
Excellent book, my personal favorite Calc book. Fun fact it's got a photo of Shrek in the Calc 3 section!
Your mom 🤣
How many pages in before you get to the definition of the derivative tho.
It provides a review of background material in the first couple of chapters.
“Calculus 1” and so on aren’t universal courses/concepts. You all need to expand your horizons and realize that those terms are meaningless. That said Stewart is a good book for most folks.
How much rigor it has?
For undergrad calculus, it's perfect. Proofs for everything. It's not for analysis.
can i get a free pdf of this book
Yee
"sloped" ... you what?
Your mom
Great fact: there are now 6 episodes of shrek is love
The most hated book ever created in the universe 😅
