I was hooked up to the official website and I saw the lineup yesterday at 12 o'clock Thursday, November the eighth. I'm sure the radio stations mentioned about it and it says ther. E has gotten 68 hours ago. Well, I'm in Florida and I am glad to see. That this gift coming back to Florida come near his Hometown. Pam, can we run, however show it's you? CS, always enjoy your Rockville preview. Went last year for the 1st time, only one night Thursday Slipknot, we did the VIP totally worth it IMO. Just got our tix for next year's event, going Friday night for LIMP BIZKIT!! We got VIP again for the $$ we think its worth it, simply for the separate bars/bathroom's. I didn't think the VIP view was that bad honestly. Keep up the good work, love the channel!!
The view from VIP hasn't been bad, but it isn't closer to the stage than being in the GA pit area. We liked doing VIP in the past (and Owner's Club), but didn't get the value out of it for us. Limp Bizkit is going to be insane this year. Can't wait!
Mammoth WVH is awesome! Saw them open for Alter Bridge twice this year and seeing them for a 3rd time this weekend in Baltimore. They’ve quickly become one of my favorite bands.
We saw WVH at Welcome to Rockville in the past and they were awesome. We see them again next week at HOB in Orlando. They put on a great show!

Friday is the day!! I mean come on man… slaughter to prevail, falling in reverse,tech nine,In flames, etc. I mean what a great lineup they have this year. I really feel like I only have the money to afford us one day, but I may just have to go ahead and pay for all the days with income tax.

So I'm from Jacksonville and this is going to be my first rockville and I had no idea how it worked. I booked general admission for all 4 days and have an air bnb. Im so thankful for your video! I was seriously confused! Like Do we pick one grouping from the lists? Are they all playing at the same time? I'm super excited but I honestly had no clue about anything. Should I bring a poncho? How much money should I save for this event!? Ahhhh help me! I can't wait for bad omens and falling in reverse and starset eeeek! Thanks again for this great video
About a month before the event, they will release the time schedule for each band. The way they have the bands grouped in the picture are likely the stages that the bands will be on. There will be a ton of overlap with bands playing at the same time, so choices will need to be made. Ponchos are okay for the rain, but umbrellas are not. The event has also been cash only for the last 2 seasons, so stay tuned to the WTR website to check on any rules, etc. for this year.
Another option for camping are two nearby state parks, Tomoka near Ormond Beach and Blue Springs near Deland. I live in Jax and have camped at Tomoka for every year they’ve held it in Daytona. It’s about a 25 minute drive from there to the track and it’s quiet when you need to sleep. Best part of all is only 181.00 for 5 nights.
Great point about the camping outside of the park. I've camped at Blue Springs before as well. Great locations and super quiet.
We're heading over from the UK & your videos have been super helpful! You said if you camp you can leave during the day & come back. Is that just if you camp or can you leave if you're doing VIP too? As you can imagine, we'll be squeezing a holiday into this trip too so would be nice to visit the surrounding areas when there's sizeable gaps in the bands we want to see (not that there's going to be many haha). Got a lot of ground to cover in the short time we're there 😂
There is no re-entry with any ticket, including VIP. The only way for re-entry is with camping or one of the hotel packages that DWP sells on their site. Enjoy the trip!

We’ve seen all of those except for Ghost Inside (hoping to see some of them this year). All awesome bands that put on great shows.

They’re definitely on the “if the timing works” list.
This will be mine and my girlfriend first time we are excited. I took her to her first gathering of the juggalos in 2023. im doing the camping and by the sounds of it its going to be like the gathering F your sleep.
I'm so excited! I'll be traveling from the furthest north possible in Alaska (approx 6700 miles. I'm so excited for slipknot, the Foo, the offspring, and the judas priest. I got the owners club. :)

Do you know if the yellow colored band names, are on a main stage, or why they are in a different color?
What times do the headliners finish?
I think the yellow highlighted bands are the headliners (or co-headliners) of each stage, though not sure yet. Great selection of bands. We’ve seen Offspring play at WTR a couple of times now and they put on a great show. See ya at ICP! Headliners usually wrap by 11pm, but can go overtime (I think Slipknot wrapped around midnight in 2023).
Thank you! That 2024 hype video has got me so excited! I've seen the offspring, the crue, the foo, and offspring before. All up here in Alaska. Foo fighters was right before we lost taylor, and in the middle of covid. It was a masked up awkward concert. But so, so amazing. I'm excited for another shot to see them all, but secretly wish korn could replace Motley crue. Lol

I thought the Pantera tribute was great and likely the best act of last year.
We went the first year because I am from Jax, but we live in Georgia now :( I book a resort every year and for some reason or another either we are too late getting tix or something happened at home, but we haven't gone. But this year FOO FIGHTERS and Mammoth on the same stage are you kidding me??? They never come down this way so I just bought tickets for all four days and booked a 3br on the beach, this will be an epic trip that everybody at home can suck it LOL, we are not staying around and my boss already knows I am going, there will be no asking me to work OT after 10 years of having missed this while working for him.
It sure looks a lot more crowded than the first year that's for sure. We aren't crazy about crowds so we will hang back and stay out of everyone's way. We also really like Falling in Reverse and have been fans of Theory and Skillet from the very beginning. Dirty Honey, Greta, all the mainstream alternative bands. Disturbed, Saliva, In the Moment, many many others.
Just not sure of the layout, the first time we just sat between the two main stages and when one band was setting up, we were watching the other stage. But six stages? This should be interesting! What was hilarious the first time was water was more expensive than beer, but it was so hot we didn't care.

I haven’t seen many issues at the shows and we’ve gone since the event was held in Jacksonville. Aside from the usual with people drinking too much or weed use, I haven’t really seen much violence.
The f*cking slayer yelling is so goddamn true, I’m a deep sleeper though so I was able to get through it. Can’t wait to see Anthrax!!!
I have to laugh about the Slayer thing now, but I was dying from exhaustion at that point in the night. I can’t wait to see Anthrax again too. So good!

hello guys, what you can carry in your backpack? Im old with a bad leg LOL, want to go inside with those ultra-small portable seats/chairs, a rain poncho, snacks, ....
Also, I plan to go on Thursday only, for how long you can park in general parking? May I sleep in the car .?

This will be my first year. I'm doing the tent camping orange lot. Any tips words of advice. Besides ear plugs. Lol
Bring an EZ Up or pop up shade in addition to the tent to either put over the tent or for extra shade in the morning. The heat gets really bad by 8am.

thanks for all your videos on Rockville, I've watched a bunch of them and am thinking of going in '24. Never been before and was wondering if I should camp at the Orange or the Purple site? Can anyone recommend 1 or the other? Is Purple closer?
We camped in the orange lot last year and the overall area was nice. The purple lot is actually outside of the track itself (the other camping lots are inside). I've heard positive things about purple, but haven't stayed there myself.

Hi. Im back 😂😂 You are gonna charge me soon for every question I ask. How close can you get to the stage to see bands? I'm freiken short! 😅 I have a VIP, but I now know that that doesn't mean diddly. But do I need to get there extra early to be able to stand there or exactly how can I be up front ?? I really appreciate you two. Thanks. I'm a little nervous due to going by myself,but hoping to make great friends along the way!
VIP is not up front near the stage. If you want to be up close, you’d need to get to the stage that has the bands you want to see early when doors open and camp that stage for the day. Keep in mind also that there is a lot of moshing and crowd surfing the closer that you are to the stage.

Gday all, Flying over from Australia for my first rockville, Is it easy to pick the tickets up at the venue or is it easier getting them posted to a friends place in Daytona? Might seeyas around! cheers
We've only had to pick up the upgraded tickets that we won last year at the venue and it was easy as they had a will call window by the camping area. We generally have the tickets mailed to us in advance.
I have another question. Do you ever get to meet any of the bands at Rockville? I know there's not a meet and greet but is it hard to meet them? I would LOVE to meet Eric Kretz from STP!😂
There is a booth that Revolver hosts that has limited meet and greets, but they are normally with lower level bands. Otherwise, no. Some bands wander around to watch others play, but the vast majority would remain backstage.
Thursday is only good day.

What times are the shows over? Do they have a curfew like other venues? I'm coming from Orlando and wondering how late it will be.
The shows generally end at 11pm, though they do go over at times.
Usually the venues that have curfew are near neighborhoods. No chance of that at Daytona International Speedway! LOL
@@runswithbeer This is true, but I think the only time I’ve seen bands go beyond 11pm is when Slipknot went to almost midnight last year.

Fiancé and I are thinking about going to Rockville 2024 as part of our honeymoon. We usually go to Aftershock in Sacramento in October. how is the heat in mid may? Is it brutal with no shade?
The heat is on in mid May Florida. Anywhere from mid 80s to low 90s and the sun doesn’t set until around 8:30. Very important to stay hydrated and that includes drinking water in between whatever alcohol you want to indulge in.
You’re on the infield of the Daytona International Speedway so the only shade is from tents of the various vendors and display areas. There is supposed to be ample shade in VIP but I’ve always just bought general admission so I can’t verify that.
all your belongings remain in the tent?? Is there safe lockers to leave bags or anything like that
You can use a lock for your tent or lock stuff up in your vehicle.
Not throwing any shade on ya, but the walk between the main stages is not a 20 minute walk…and TOOL are amazing! However Pantera stole the weekend.,🤘
I think the time depends on how crowded it gets. Later in the day, it can take forever to weave in between people. Pantera was the highlight for 2023. Looking forward to next year!

Yes, come to a great show and let me get drink my coffee ok, I'm hand to wa', WA, so I'm getting my coffee there, oh yeah, by the way, wa is right across from the Daytona International Speedway. So buy a sandwich there and get a great coffee or get a drink for you going and have a great time. I hope it is a rain this year. Lightning doesn't occur. That's gonna be a good. Yes. The daily general admission tickets will allow you to move around the festival grounds to each stage.

THIS is the list! I can’t believe that L7 is playing! We don’t have any of the other gigs on tap, except for a tentative for WVH in 2 weeks.

What time did you get there to set up camp?
We did the early entry and got in line around the time that the gates opened. It takes a while to get through security as they search the stuff in your vehicle.

Haha! I do really miss the Jacksonville days. It felt huge at the time and now it seems so small.

How much walking is it from one stage to the next
It’s a good 15 minutes or so, depending on the crowd size and time of day. As the day goes on, the field gets packed and it is harder to navigate walking between stages. The distance between main stages is probably 3/4 of a mile.

I'm not a TOOL fan either. I seen them for $40 and Meshuggah was better opening.
We get crushed about not liking TOOL every time they play WTR, but they just aren't our thing.
when Motley Crue and Limp Bizkit are two of the headliners nobody can call this the greatest lineup ever?
We saw Limp last year and they were phenomenal. I can pass on Motley, but yes, the lineup is awesome when you look beyond just the headliners. Lots of stuff to see in the undercard bands.
getting VIP tickets doesnt get you free parking?
The only ticket with parking included is Owners Club.

@@memorablerides6807 They offer day of parking at the track for like $40 a day. Some of the businesses along the road may sell parking as well.

Decent classic lineup but flawed by the location and time of the year.
They have similar lineups for other DWP festivals in other states throughout the year as welll.
Green day won't come to Florida because of politics
Makes sense, I guess, but they just played here 2 years ago.
