Love this 66 ,,I was born in 66 ,I had a1960 datsan truck awsome truck and anything fit in or on bed it would pull it I delivered appliances in mine for few years and got about 30 ish miles per gallon easy
That would be either the 320 series or 420 series truck, probably the 420 series Datsun truck. Nissan is tied in with Ford Motor company. Case in point the Datsun 240, 260, 280 and the 300 Z engines are powered by Ford six cylinder engines. The Mercury Villiager is nothing but a Nissan Quest. Ford bought the four cylinder Z engines off of Nissan and put them in the Fird Rangers and its twin truck the Mazda trucks. The Z engines, certain models had four cylinder engines with intake and exhaust spark plugs in them that burned and returned hydrocarbons in the engines for a cleaner environment so on certain Ford Ranger trucks and Mazda trucks, when you pulled the hood, you would see 8 spark plug wires lookin back at you on the distributor cap, which now in days, the distributor caps technology is antiquated, it's all power packs these days Ford, Nissan, Mazda, Jaguar, Volvo, Austin Martin and Kia are all the tied in with each other. The Ford Aspire was made by Kia. I seen it on a tag on the front drivers door whare it said built by Kia Motor Corporation for Ford, and the car is a Ford Aspire.
Always loved thec521 series Datsun/Nissan trucks the very best. Wish I could have gotten one when I was living in Murfreesboro Tennessee. Would have loved to have had it.
320, 420, then the 520, series Datsun truck pictured here. After this model, the 521 series then they made the 620 series in the year 1972 and a half. The Japanese are famous for changing their model years in the half of year. I owned a 1977 620 Datsun truck, and believe me, I loved that truck, very, very much. After the 620 was the 720, after that the D 21 series hardbody, after that is still the Frontier trucks. Unfourtionally, they aren't nice like these little basic trucks are, they all are ugly four door station wagon trucks with wagon wheels and thin tires on them.
What a great restoration and tribute. These little trucks were true 'work horses' with small engines and a 'can-do' build/attitude.

NICE truck but man that rear bumper is awful
I rather like the rear bumper, very much. It's strong and heavy duty.
