Yan na po ang sakop ng free Legal advice ninyo. Kung may karagdagang tanong kayo ay masisingil ko na po kayo ng consultation fee. I have a question po, stated po sa Art 1984 na when the depositary discovered that the thing deposited is stolen (knowing who the true owner is na third person po), he shall advise the true owner. And if within 1 month, the real owner does not claim the thing, the depositary shall return it to the depositor and the former is relieved from his responsibilities. Ask ko lang po, what if po, nagdemand yung depositor before the lapse of 1 month, paano po yung treatment po duon? thank you po Atty

I thought po deposit is under bailment @.@. Those for the sole benefit of the bailor - ex. deposit/mandatum.
Both the depositor and depositary benefit, in case of compensated deposit.

I don't see the problem. If the depositary knows the true owner, then inform the latter. If not, follow 1988.
