Was that the one with the guy who had his backpack on the front? If so then he sure seemed to be enjoying them, the guy was making me grin from ear to ear seeing him smile lol
Eh, Respect your opinion but to me Zach is just too crazy to deny. He expresses himself through crazy drumming so to me it's both haha. Only person better than Zach is Rich Or Krupa imo haha but don't get me wrong Peart is up there too
Eric F Don’t get me wrong I love zachs playing, if we’re talking about energy and spirit then Zach wins by a landslide. If you want to go deeper into drumming, I’d suggest you listen to Matt Garstka. I’ve been drumming for 5 years and I’m yet to see anyone better than him in terms of technique and skill. If you’re wanting nonstop drum rolls and melt your face blasts Zachs probably your best bet though
I really resent this idea of a musician being "better" than another somehow, especially when the musicians being compared are both virtuosos and/or it's their composition styles being compared because at that point it just becomes a matter of taste. That said, Neil Peart is definitely more virtuousic than Zach Hill and I feel like it's because he sticks to the conventional R'n'R drumming and the skills required that come with that. Zach Hill really just plays however he feels and excels at it because that's what he more or less strictly focuses on. He plays loud and fast patterns not to show off technical feats but because he likes the feeling and sound.
Zach’s setup is always been so interesting to me. I wonder if he plays that low for his right foot speed or he’s just comfortable about that. I wonder the same about Damon Che. Snare below the knees and all that
0:13 can someone please tell me the name of art that is at the intro of the video an evolution of traveling it looks like but I need to see the original piece if anyone has the name it looks amazing
I’m confused, some of the footage looks like the same show as the other Japan clips but totally different angle and sound and I highly doubt there was multiple cameramen idk, this is dope af tho
Nothing happened at 3:53, that's just the magic of playing live and Hella's style. If you mess up you just go with it and it becomes a new experience every time.
So locked in with each other I hope desperately for a reunion
Theses guys enjoyed hella better than the other live show, the one I saw enjoying in the other was the guy with the Afro and glassses

The dudes that spend hours talking about Neil Peart need to see Zach.
Peart is a better drummer by miles, but Zachs expressing himself

Lil Guy the only way we can consider a musician better is based off of technical ability and pocket, that’s why I’d call Neil Peart a ‘better’ drummer
Whoa. Never seen this footage before. Good shtuff.
search for "Hella. Concentration Face DVD (Better quality)" and look at the hole thing. this is just a cut version.
It kills me to look at that rack tom nearly vertical in every video clip, but you can't argue with the results.
1:53 the exact moment the man was possessed
Zach Hill Is God
hella is god
I think God still uses a double kick. Zach Hill transcended.
Greatness!
