it doesnt matter we do integer math , so lets say we have 6 items , so the mid point would be 3 and if this were 7 , so 7/2 would be 3 since we do integer math and then we will check if the number we need is greater than this mid point or not and this would go on. Hope this helped !

Key is the value which you want to search in the list.
I took 1 randomly, it is present in the list so i took key as 1.
