    Sure owe you for getting me back to Working with my old girl (D17). Sure, would be great if someone would slowly go thru the fluids, where to ID Bucket fill & drain as well as tranny, oil is pretty obvious, clutch Fill/Drain, Pwr Steering Fill/Drain, etcetera. Also, what fluids go into which hole. Told nearly 10 gallons on one of them and $100. Can't afford to hurt my D17 or put $100 into the wrong hole. Many of us will not admit do not know what goes where so, old iron dies with gunked up innards. THANK YOU so much for your kind efforts on this Vid on our behalf. Karma will boomerang. Thx !!

    thanks for the video. very informative. what about the hand clutch on a wd wd45? and where do you get parts for them? thanks

      The hand clutch in the WD & WD-45 are a lot different than the D series power director. I have a video in the works for the W series hand clutch and will try to finish it up in a few weeks. Parts are still available from AGCO and aftermarket parts can be found from A&I.

    Great video very informative. I have a D17 and I'm having an issue where when the hand clutch is in neutral it doesn't fully disengage and the tractor still wants to move. It shifts from big to low just fine and doesn't slip any ideas why this is happening?

    • @The1952caallis
      @The1952caallis  5 лет назад +1

      The clutch may need to be adjusted by moving the shims or the oil being used maybe to thick. All the clutches I've adjusted and used the recommended oil don't creep with the clutch in the neutral position.

    Is this the same setup as an i60? I have the backhoe version with the shuttle shift. Instead of having high and low range like this yours, mine has forward and reverse. Does the procedure you are showing work the same on a shuttle shift? Also, does anyone still sell these clutch packs new or remaned? Thank you

      I have no experience with the shuttle clutch Assy. Nor do I have any information about them. See if you can get any information from an AGCO dealer and go from there. I hope you can find what you need.

    Good day. Boy that was interesting. I'm from Ont. Canada. , our neighbor had a WD on 150 acres, done everything with it, combine/60, rd. bale 3 furrow many 10", on heavy soil, later yrs. bought D17, but those hand clutches were used were very often. I was thinking of buying D17 for blowing snow. Now the hand clutch was live power, foot clutch wasn't.
    correct? but I think hand lever to far, can't look bk. to see how deep snow is. Other yr. D17/ loader went $1650 cdn. very reasonable. Anyways I sub. very good video How much would total rebuilt cost. Is WD& 45 CLUTCH roughly same except hi/lo Thanks

      You are correct about the hand clutch providing live power. To replace all of the discs would run about $1000 for OEM parts. The W series clutch is of different design but basically it's half of a D series power director.

    Dennis after we installed the pd neutral isn't working any thoughts

    • @The1952caallis
      @The1952caallis  5 лет назад

      I personally have never experienced this issue. My first thought is not enough shims to relieve the pressure on the clutch disk. Second thought is the springs are not pushing the pressure plates apart due to a possible binding situation. Sometimes you will get some drag if the oil is too thick. If this is the cause you can check it by putting the power director in the neutral position and just lightly apply the brake in the tractor should stop.

    By chance are you any kin to the Dennis Anderson who used to pull Allis Chalmers at National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky at Freedom Hall? Just curious.
