It just occurred to me that Billy actually saved Mrs Wheeler. “Stay away from me.” Didn’t catch that until now.
Had he infected her, then she would've easily infected Mike, making it easier for the Mind Flayer to infect the whole group and eventually get to El. More than likely, he would've won.

@@SweenyTodd98 Yeah the first time I saw it I just thought he just didn't want to deal with her because he's dealing with something worse at the moment, but yeah it's obvious to me now. Also with Heather, Billy was visually trying to fight the Mind Flayer but couldn't overcome it aaand Heather was fucked. Dacre acted so well this season, he was great.
@@helinituhhh (*SPOILER*)Yes. Almost all of his scenes you can see that Billy is struggling inside. This scene where he saves Karen. The scene in 3x04 where he begs Max for forgiveness before The Mind Flayer takes control. And in 3x06 when he tells Eleven that he will end everyone, and there's a tear going down his chin.
Steve's reaction to Dustin being back and their handshake/lightsaber fight is the absolute best.

The girl whose soda El exploded was Stacy from the season 2 finale, the girl who rejected Dustin when he asked her to dance.
Fun fact: The mall where this was filmed is the local mall I grew up going to. Place was horrible, but Netflix came in and remodeled a lot of it for the show last year.

It's so fun to see them theorize and try to guess what the code means. I think the scene where the code was cracked was one that just made me love ... well we know who.

Genuinely think Billy is one of my favourite characters this season. Dacre Montgomery's acting is class (along with a lot of the other cast members to be fair) - Can't wait to see your reactions/theorycrafting as the season progresses.

I don't know if it was the direction, writing, or acting but I thought most of the actors this season overacted a bit. Exaggerated versions of their characters. But Dacre Montgomery and Millie Bobby Brown were phenomenal.
The acting of everyone on this show was really good.
I don't remember once being all "this is bad acting".
The level of heartbrokenness you guys left me with the editing out of the ”you’re as cold as ice” line 😩

I think my favorite part about that scene is the fact that the song is literally all about Jim losing. I mean it's a good song, I just thought it was funny that he picked a song where Jim dies in the end to be his theme tune.

I just finished the season and it is probably my least favorite simply because of the relationship drama and how hopper and max act like they dont know that mike truly loves el. When hopper lost his temper and threatened mike for being close to el and then smiled knowing el was upset that mike wasnt talking as much to her I was like "is this not the same hopper who was willing to let mike punch him last season because he was mad that hopper kept him from the love of his life only to then comfort him with a hug while he was crying?" And I was fine with max helping el find herself but wasnt fine with how much she would just insult mike and twist whatever he said so it seemed as bad as possible. I was so upset because I loved both max and hopper in season 2 but this season they were so... UGH. And because they are main characters interfering with other main characters it really bothered me.
@@xmant8842 Hopper very much felt like a character assassination. I get the idea that he wants to believe that everything is normal and he can just chill out, but he just feels _so_ different to the no-nonsense, ex city-cop from the first two seasons.
i love that they took that short but awesome dustin steve teamup from last seasons and just cranked it up this season

Was Wierd Al in the 80s........I think he started off in the 70s but he blew up in the 80s after "Eat It". He was HUGE! He even starred in his own movie UHF.

Just a bit of Weird Al history, as some didn't know he went back to the 80s. He made a movie in the 80s called UHF. It was awesome. You guys should check it out. He does tonnes of popular movie spoof scenes in it. Plus, it's just hilarious on it's own.

I feel like Hopper is lacking in his responsibilities. Elle should be learning more about the world and just general education.
She’s gotta keep a low profile while the Doc from last season clears her off the map after all the experiments that were done to her. Once he’s done that she can go “normal.” That’s why Hop has to keep her sheltered, but I also assume it’s cause he doesn’t want to lose another daughter

Honestly, I just couldn’t get into Nancy & Jonathan’s storyline this season-they were by far the least interesting characters for me. That said, I still love this season and I especially love what it did with the main party of kid protagonists.
Mall Rats deserved a terrible, terrible box office.
