Olha, all I can say is "Wow!" From a distance this model looks simple, but as you get closer and can see the _detail_ that it has, and knowing that you've got over 800 hours of Master-level work in it, scares me! ;) Maybe I should go back to a rubber ducky in the bathtub? LOL! ;D Seriously though, this is a Masterpiece, I think, at least from my point of view. Watching you tie the rigging gave me flashbacks to the early '70s when I "attempted" to tie rigging for a plastic ship model kit I built as a kid -- needless to say, I was left with a mess and probably gave up in frustration due to lack of information (only the "instructions in the kit) and patience at that age. Today, with videos like yours and the books you share with us, there is a lot more information available for beginners and anyone else at _any_ skill level interested in building model ships. I will definitely need to _carefully_ select a first wood model ship (I'd like to try jumping into the "deep end" with planking the hull) that won't blow me out of the water with the rigging once I get that far in the build!
Also, you appear to use _extremely_ sharp scissors -- are they surgical scissors of some type? What type of long tweezers were you using to tie the rigging at the end? They look very useful for rigging model ships! (And with the extreme camera zoom, they reminded me of a joke photo of a "Mother wrench feeding baby wrenches" with, obviously, 3-4 appropriately sized Crescent wrenches posed to look like birds in a nest. ;)

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it!
I use ordinary small manicure scissors because they have a curved shape and small tweezers, because long ones are not so easy to operate... Just in macro shooting everything looks big)))

You do it like the best and I always enjoy and admire your videos because the way you show it, it makes it very understandable and wants me really to start building wooden model ships.

I enjoy watching your skill and dexterity as you maneuver your forceps and scissors through the model to reach the area you're working on. As I watched I kept thinking your rigging looks more realistic than what is typical on my models. Then it occurred to the line itself that you use is part of the difference. The line you use is three-strand rope and what I'm putting on my models is nothing more than thread in various diameters and color that the kit came with. I've seen the video where you make your own rigging line, do you replace the line the kit comes with and substitute the line you make? I have not gotten to the point where I'm ready to start rigging, but now I want to change the line the kit came with, it will be worth the effort.

Yes, I make my own ropes with a diameter ranging from 0.22 mm, and also buy laser cut blocks - this is what will skyrocket the level of your model...

Because no one has seen the real Pinta and the real drawings have not survived either - that's why there are so many interpretations of these ships and each has the right to life!
