- Did the Detroit Lions Just find Marcus Davenports Replacement? The Detroit Lions went out on their bye week and found a couple of edge rushers/sam linebackers that could push to make this roster and rush the passer opposite of Aidan Hutchinson. Will this be enough or do the Lions need to pursue a trade with another NFL team.

Losing Barnes hurt because he was our one good SAM. They did good finding someone who can step in and fill in at SAM. They were trying all spring long to get someone else and hopefully they found a decent player who can come in to drop back into coverage. All these short completions teams did against us so far can be limited with someone who can cover the flats - that's what a good SAM can do for us.

Lions fan logic is anything that doesn’t go in the teams favor is a cheap shot. Any call that doesn’t go their way is evidence of a grand rigging.

No no. Brad needs to trade for Judon who has never played in the 43. Or Crosby who lines up and is most effective as a LDE, like Hutchinson.

You don’t understand the scheme if you think Reddick would fit at RDE. You cannot distinguish a LB in this defense and DE. Reddick would be on the field a handful of snaps a game. If you wanted 34 style rushers, you should have begged for KT. Welcome to the 43 or 425 where you really don’t need 2 LDEs. I thought even casual fans got that, but I was wrong.
