Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel's mum & Story's grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We got stranded for months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.

As trivia, Indonesia and the Philippines share a lot of similar visual elements from landscape to woodworking, especially through indigenous and Islamicized Mindanao groups. So rather than thinking it's fully Balinese-inspired, it could also be the natural shared affinities of certain Philippine and Indonesian aesthetic. :)

a*coz, I somewhat agree with you. But they kept on comparing to Bali and even said "Bali inspired". I guess that'll be rude and demeaning to Siargao. BTW, tho Bali is a Province of Indonesia, the Majority of the Population, about 90% practice Hinduism, that's the reason some of the Arts are Hindu inspired, including Buddhism.
@@chattcedric6321 They even said that the landscape and surrounding rice fields are like Balinese @5:09. Imagine! What an insult to the Philippine natural environment! And even the wooden tribal artworks they said were kind of Balinese. Don't they know that there are many tribes in the Philippines with such tribal design, artistry and craftmanship! And the villa design is like a fusion of the Philippine bahay kubo and the Spanish inspired houses of native Filipinos which are called bahay na bato.

Well, I guess we just kinda understand their sentiments and mindsets 'coz they know so little about our beautiful Philippines. The irony of it is that they're staying in the Philippines but they have this implied indifference if not sarcasm. But I still wish them happiness and safety in their stay especially to the pretty and smart Story.
@@chattcedric6321 maybe because Bali and it's design is more popular to westerners and/or foreigners than Mindanao. When you think of Philippines, as a foreigner the first thing in mind is always Boracay and it's white sand beaches, El Nido Palawan and it's lagoon. That's why when they first saw designs and architectural like this they think of Bali.

Induction cooker is quite common now, I got 4 burners...but not common in islands like Siargao..
I didnt get it, ph didnt copy anything from BALI, its just that both country has a tropical weather and shared similar culture… why BALI inspired?? When you go to BALI do you say Siargao-inspired to things you see in BALI which u already or may have seen in siargo? Even the drone shots are “balinese landscapes” LOL. No hate, just asking.
Many people are happy watching your channel because you always showcase the beauty of PH as you experience it, but when you show it and refer it to other locations, you’re sending a message that “where you are at is just a copy cat” and not really enjoying it. I understand you love to compare though, but we want to see you enjoy the moment.

Never say that some things are rare in the Philippines like that induction stove since you have just been in an island like Siargao and some parts of Mindanao. That kind of stove is never rare in the big cities like Manila.

Hi eight miles from home great vide very informative and really great information on touring in the philippines loved the video subscribed already happy wedding anniversary love from your Australian friends we are in Australia where I was born and have land in cebu sogod and land in Cordova on mactan island and a house in pajac cebu mactan island. It is a great a great place to live in the bisya and a aworesome jumping place for going to bohol and letters and Capote island as well for island hopping from panglao my wife's auntie lives down there in panglao and knows the tourist operators witch when I get the chance I will start looking into doing a tourism course and just study the philippines cause that where I will set up my business when I get going. I have lots of friends there through my wife so it will be good to get into .maraming salamat for sharing

I just came back from the Philippines. My girlfriend and went to Siargao just like the locals. We took 2 buses and a boat from Cagayan De Ore to Surigao city to Siargao. We stayed in Villa Tulua for 3 days. It was a magical place. The caretaker super friendly and the local cab drivers just awesome. Villa Tulua by far top favorite place to stay. Missing the rooster, gecko, frogs, cat and crabs that appear during our stayed. We are definitely missing the banana trees coconut tree and the magical breeze that hit the pool. Awesome video guys
