Hi everyone! Hindsight is 20/20. If your over level 85, you would want to reforge right after you purchase your LI to bring it up to your current level first before adding traceries. Otherwise, you won't be able to purchase the correct level traceries for your LI.
Thank you for this guide! I havent played in years and decided to give the game another shot while i wait for my current mmo's(guild wars 2) next xpac. I was getting kinda annoyed trying to figure out how to get new LI items since the game was telling me my old ones were unable to be advanced.
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you SO much for this. I just came back after a couple of years playing other stuff. I have 7 or 8 characters with LIs and was very apprehensive about this new system as I'd obviously not been around when it was introduced. Thanks for making it clear.
@@TaSwavo Thank you. One thing I failed to show in the video is that you should reforge your LI first to bring it up to your character's level before adding traceries. This is especially important for levels higher than 85. I have another video where I convert an LI for a level 130 character.
@@Kevin2099Plays I saw your comment about that and did it :) Pretty big thing. Something similar happened with the old system (when it was new) if I remember.
You're welcome, Peggy. I'm glad it helped you out. You may be interested in my latest video where I converted my main's 130 Legendary Item as well. You can never get too much information on this new system before you start converting your own LIs. ruclips.net/video/Mlc8ao2cqSE/видео.html
Is there a way to sell the old ones after the appraisal thing? I can't seem to find a vendor who buys them. What to do with the old ones? Is it fine to just drop them and destroy them since they are now taking up space?
I'm not sure. I went ahead and got rid of mine. In my opinion I believe once appraised they're just for cosmetic purposes. I don't know if SSG will have a way to disconstruct them in the future.
Discovered this today as well, they are now redundant and cannot be sold stored or even deconstructed (no more relic masters to decon). I just use the old one taking up in my bag IF I want to use it for cosmetics, otherwise byeeeeeeee hits the dust.
Hey, I discovered the answer, after reforging the brand new LI from the merchant she reforged it as well and boom....Heraldic slot. Over in the other room is a wall full of Heraldic Traceries...boom found the appropriate one, all good now. Thanks for pointing me in all the right directions !
@@laars0001 Yes, reforging is important and should be the first step when obtaining the LI. I failed to do that on this character until later on in the video.
I am level 65. I have unidentified legendary item. I go to Forge Master to identify it. But there is no such option in my game. I have only Reforge option. In the video there are two option which are Identify and Reforge. But I have only Reforge, there is no Identify button. Anybody has any idea about it?
Unidentified Legendary Items are part of the old system and no longer valid. If they are in your Legendary Items Panel (SHIFT+I) then you can appraise them by clicking the bottom right button which basically gives you currency to purchase a new LI that can be used in the new system. Now, in this new system, you collect Traceries and Runes to modify this new LI to grow in experience with you as you level in LOTRO. There's no more of collecting LIs, identifying / deconstructing them, and creating new LIs as you advance levels. If you have the old, unidentified, LIs in your inventory, and not in your Legendary Panel, you can't use them at this time. However, I would be hesitant to throw them away yet as LOTRO may come up with a way to convert these or turn them into Ancient Scripts. Also, can you point out in this video (with a timestamp) where there's an identify option for the Forge Master? As I'm reviewing this video again, I'm using the Forge Master at timestamps 5:12 and 15:50 and I only see the Reforge option.

Awesome video! Always love watching these!
I really like your video because you are so down to earth and show how it is without rushing thru. TYVM!

So much info available such as Heraldic Traceries, where is that slot on your videos? Are Heraldic Traceries deleted now?

I go to that exact location and it's labeled as Word Hoard of Gobetham. Am I missing something??
Are you able to enter the room?
