Hello from Glasgow! I love KL and Malaysia. I was lucky to live in KL growing up as kid as my Dad was working there. It has changed a lot. The traffic is still MANIC though but there are easier public transport links and I'm glad there is competition with the taxis. The apartment is terrifying, I had to skip through the intro because I have severe VERTIGO 🙈 I also have a severe allergic reaction to Coffee LOL but I love the smell. I'm so glad you have settled and based yourselves there. I have fond memories of Malaysia, lovely Taiping, not many tourists go there, and Pangkor Island. Excited to hear you are travelling to Turkey!! I visit every year. Hope you get to visit Kaleici in Antalya, Kas, Fethiye, Kayakoy and beautiful, stunning Dalyan. I am travelling to Turkey on the 26th March to Istanbul then Cappadocia. It will be cold. Be awesome to bump into you both. Can you open up your next vlog with a cup of tea??😂 I think you should show your fitness routine, you both eat really healthy, when many people are travelling they eat a lot of junk, including myself. Many people don't know how to access a gym, where to go, fees etc. I always try to find an indoor pool or gym when travelling but it can be expensive. Safe, Happy Travels to you both.
KL definitely is magical huh - the public transport has been the easiest of anywhere we've been as well. Maybe next time we'll start the video with a cup of tea and the curtains down, just for you 😂
Selamat petang Dane and Stacey. Haha , ignore my vertigo, a beer in the evening would be a stunning view from your apartment with the twinkling lights just don't point your camera down. 🙈 I miss proper storms like they had in KL, you could almost time when it was going to rain, depending on the season. We just have wet cold windy rain here with no thunder or lightning. Look forward to your next vlog 💓 Langkawi. Enjoy.
Hello Glasgow...I love Taiping too. It's also called the rain town it receives rain like 3 weeks in a month not continuously though. I read that some people there bet on the rain (rain betting) like how many times it rains per day, what time the 1st drop of rain will fail or the rain volume. It involves money like min 50 rgt - 5,000 rgt. And Taiping was voted in the Top 3 most Sustainable City 2018 behind Ljubljana, Slovenia n Vancouver at the Berlin International Travel Fair. Oh yess I love the rain!!! It is so soothing.
Wow!! Betting on the rain, lol. I estimated at about 3 pm everyday when I was there and it worked. Glad you loved Taiping too. Agree the rain is soothing except in Glasgow 😂 Taiping is a gem and not ruined by tourism.
As a Malaysian, Taiping has always been my favorite. Definitely underated. Almost all travel videos show KL, Penang, Malacca and Langkawi. Taiping really needs to be on the list. There's just a different vibe to it that I can't describe.
Thanks for the positive comment. One japanese guy in another video said almost the same thing - he said malaysia is a place to release stress n tension.
Hey Stace After watching your video this morning and discovering that your dad is Malay and many of your family, also with this video being filmed in Kuala Lumpur I just wanted to reach out and send my love to you guys and your families. I know that the Malaysian community along with many others are mourning the loss of so many from such a small community and I know that regardless of religion or race a lot of us are hurting right now. I can feel it in New Zealand and it's particularly acute here in Christchurch 💖 Stay safe, all my love. Ange x
Malaysia is great! Probably my favourite destination in SE Asia. Refined but wild, good food, etc. etc.. Your videos helped inspire my trip in July last year :)
Nice guys, found this vlog very interesting. Malaysia wasn't on the bucket list, but after watching several of your videos, I think I'll have to take a look. Safe travels.
Hey guys! KL looks incredible! Malaysia is never a place ive thought of going to before! But i think youve changed my mind! Hey Turkey sounds absolutely amazing! Looking forward to seeing the hot air balloons! Also, there is a place called Pamukalle there, it is apparently just like the historic pink and white terraces back here in NZ i would love to see some footage of that if you get a chance! Fitness stuff would be great too! Im far from a fitness guy, but would be great to get some more inspiration! Stay well and be safe! Arohanui!
It's a good spot man, we kind of did things differently this time and love it more than we thought we would! We're taking an ANZAC tour around Turkey for 11 days - gonna see and share loads of stuff!
You guys should do a collaboration with beer for breakfast since they have been all over Malaysia...and Stacey r u gonna talk more about your Malaysian background???
Wow, I’ve just read all these comments and watched your video and I am so completely thrilled that you all loved visiting my country!! Malaysia is so so so special to me and I’m so glad that you all enjoyed coming here. Please do be sure to come back soon because we’d love to be your hosts again ❤️
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful trip with your dad. I lost my father to Covid and he never got to Australia which we wanted to see together . I think it’s an amazing gesture that you brought him back to his home country. He is adorable as are the both of you. I’m currently caring for my mother with dementia. She is coming to the end of her journey and once I can I will be traveling on a round the world solo trip. I have been planning all my stops back in SE Asia and Borneo is high on my list. I will keep watching you as your a lot of fun and giving me some great ideas for my big adventure. I hope you bring you dad back for another series. Those will be some of your very best memories you will ever make. Cheers, god bless , stay safe and cool. Thanks!
I'm Malaysian but not based in Malaysia.. thanks for choosing K.L.. I think you're making a wise choice to live there as a digital nomad..It's not the cheapest among the Southeast Asian countries but the value you get should worth every dollar you spend there.. enjoy your coffee and travel as slowly as you can in MYS.. 😊
welcome back guys, hope you enjoy the time here. it's a bit hot though it is a dry season in malaysia till october but at the moment it's really hot compared to previous years. just make sure you guys cool yourselves as much as possible.
Another reason for having KL as your base - not sure you aware or not because not mentioned here - is the location and AirAsia (local budget airline) hub - Everywhere from KL is relatively cheaper from other places in Asia.
I like you two . We are just about to head back to Malaysia for an extended holiday, our third time , like 6 weeks .... a very underrated country and KL is our fave city in Asia by far ... great food, great people, great transport , great value ....
I am very interested in learning more about how you stay fit, eat healthy, handle laundry, cooking, cost tracking, etc., while you travel full time. My husband and I are planning a 12 month multiple country trip to celebrate our upcoming retirement and we find your practical information very helpful. Loving your channel! Thanks.
Thanks so much Trish, glad it's helpful stuff we're sharing :) We talk in a bit more detail in our book about a lot of that stuff, but we will do a video at some stage on the fitness and health side for sure
When at Langkawi, you should go to Taman Marine ( Langkawi Marine Park island) it's very beautiful island. Then you should go to Taman Negara Belum in Grik Perak. It's the oldest rainforest in the world. Not many people know about this Place.
OMG you’re going to Turkey! That hot air ballooning over Cappadocia is PHENOMENAL. Definitely a highlight of our trip there. Make sure you check out the spice market & underground cistern in Istanbul. Gallipoli was very moving as well. Enjoy!
As always love your chats Turkey sounds amazing I was originally looking at going to Croatia 2020 but have recently been looking at a trip to Turkey, Egypt & Jordan and love the sound of the Hot air balloon in Turkey.
Love your chat videos - they are an important link between the pure travel vlogs and give perspective to what you guys are all about. That apartment is just amazing, not just the views but the layout and decor. I see that Stacey does the "cushion on lap" thing - my daughter does that too :)
Your comments about the chats, and how they fit, played in my head before we decided to sit down and do this one - always good to hear that they work and update with some context on life
welcome back! enjoyed watching your old Malaysia entries and good to you guys back. just a note on your comments about transportation, most if not all Malaysians feel that the transportation network is just horrible, hence why everyone has a car by the time they go to uni or can afford a loan. it's getting better though with the MRT lines and grab. oh and while you were away, grab bought over Uber's stakes in Malaysia and Singapore and does not operate under the Uber brand anymore. Grab's pricing has gone up slightly and overall experience has dropped in my opinion since being the sole real player in the market for ride share. happy travels and hope KL will treat you both well :)
Thats kinda a shame, from a tourist perspective the cost of Grab and the ease/cost of the LRT makes things really easy and great to travel around! Always a discrepancy between what visitors look for vs locals though I suppose
@@DanegerAndStacey yeah, I don't know how you guys can keep pace like that. I'll be in Puerto Vallarta for most likely 2 years. Total emergence. As a single dude, formally a fitness instructor all I have is two Spri Bands and a basic routine with pushups tricep dips off 2 chairs, hiking, etc. Old school. Spent enough time in gyms
Loved the update. I would vote yes on seeing some videos on working out while traveling. My wife and I went on a 30 day trip around Southeast Asia last summer and I managed to gain 15lbs. :/ Between 50 cent beers and great food it was really hard to tell myself I am not on vacation for the entire 30 days. This summer we are doing a similar trip for 40 days and could really use some ideas on how to enjoy ourselves but be somewhat in control. Thanks again for the great content.
Haha we hear ya for sure, cheap beers and amazing food is hard to avoid! We have the advantage of time though vs a holiday, slow travel means we can make it a routine more than anything.... IF we're disciplined.
Fitness....YESSS! Especialy Daneger. Im same, working out and traveling while running an online business. Specifically his cutting diet plan. Currently in Thailand it's been impossible to drop down weight and track calories. So I'd love to see how he sets up his fitness plan and stick to it. Keep up the great work guys. Been following U guys since Krakow.
Definitely a challenge huh! All comes down to preparation in a lot of ways but we've made some big changes in the past few years as well to optimise things. Will share at some stage for sure.
Another vlog yuhooo! Been waiting for this. Checking my notif every now and then haha. Thanks Daneger and Stacy! Hope to see you here in the Philippines! 🇵🇭
Love Kl and can't wait for you guys to show more of this beautiful country. Turkey is awesome...but the other destination is wicked. Looks like I'll be following you guys forever!
BTW, I just booked my flight to Chiang Mai for November $285. KL is on the list. Can't wait !!! Staying at Paper Plane thanks to your recommendation from the last video you did there. 👍👍
One of the few places in the world where different cultures with different religions coexist peacefully. The only war you can find here in Malaysia is Star Wars.
fitness is a big part of me also so i know exactly were you guys are coming from,im heading to central thailand in 10 days and struggling to find any gyms in the region
It's hard to manage huh. We do a lot more cable and machine type stuff now just out of necessity vs what was always heavy barbell stuff back in the day
If u want fun, havoc, good time u should go to Thailand, Philippines or Singapore. If u choose lay back, tranquility I think Malaysia is the right choice. What say u?
Hhhhhm not really - we kind of feel like Thailand, PH and Malaysia all offer fun, havoc, beaches and good times depending on where you go. Been a while since we visited Singapore so can't really compare
Must say having a base to tour from / stay longer in sounds ideal... I've been to 12 cities (Balkans mostly) in just over 5 weeks...(!) May need to go back to KL to update my camera also... My memories of Malay people are they're pretty nice, I bought my camera in KL during 2011 Ramadan sales for $340 AUD less than in Australia... Not only that, they threw in about ~$120 worth of extras...
Similar story to us - Greg (our GH5) is from KL as well. Funny story, went into the same shop and the same guy was there... KL is an amazing base, especially with the cheap flights from here.
When there's thunderstorm it's kinda normal hearing people getting struck by lightning and died half charred here. Yes it's kinda fun playing in the rain once in a while but here if you ain't the son of odin it's better to stay indoors. So be careful and stay safe.
I live in the shadows of KL, only 15 minutes away on a traffic-free day/night (I live in Seri Kembangan) but I rarely venture to downtown KL..everything I want is in Seri Kembangan except things like KLCC which is of no interest to me. As for MRT, one line is being built right parallel to my residential area, 51 km when ready, it's 80% ready and construction is in full swing, when ready it will link Sungai Buloh and Putrajaya. The first line is already running 51 km from Sungai Buloh to Kajang. Talk about Kajang, I go there often to eat, plenty of good eating places there. And Putrajaya too, only 10 minutes away. I am Malaysia. There are plenty of good eating places in my area (Sewri Kembangan-Serdang-Sungai Besi-Kajang-Bangi-Putrajaya)
Tq for choosing my country, Malaysia as ur next trip.. 😘😍 I hope Malaysia will satisfy both of u... 😍 Feeling so sorry if Malaysia make u feel worse 😌 Soryyy for my bad grammar, siss try 😂
Let me know if anyone is hitting KL. I enjoy showing visitors what KL truly is. I am more than happy to show you guys around and explore the hidden gems (FOODS! no locals gonna go to the places you guys were told to visit).
If you’re going to turkey definitely visit Antalya. I actually go on all inclusive holidays there but there is so much to discover. If you wanted a change you can visit an all inclusive resort for like a day or so on lara beach, if you’re going in April or so you can get a very good deal. I know sometimes is nice to just get a bit more luxury.
You should show some of the gym stuff because that is you guys. As is the slow travel. Like it when you share the cost of everything cos don't get that from most travel vlogs but your flashpoint titles in this I couldn't read cos they were too fast and to small to see on my phone! Just saying. Love your content always 🙂
I saw the switch set up over there hah keeping you entertained? i'd be interested in the fitness side but I agree with not like how the others do it, more realistic. Man I swear I say the same thing about space all the time and my gf has the same response as Stace hah!
Stacey will love Sweden, if she loves so much Ikea ;) I just realized after so many videos, that Dan have freckles...i love freckles...but his are at weird spot, they usually are on the cheeks and nose...his for some reason are on his forehead! :) Otherwise, another amazing video!
HAHA they never used to be there, thats from sun I think - more strange pigmentation than anything.... is there a beauty therapist in the house??? PLease?
@@DanegerAndStacey well i think they are cool, wish i had any...all i do is burn badly when is very hot, and when i'm peeling is like i never been sunbathing... :(
My i suggest u come to sarawak to visit our plce very different from west Malaysia, we are borneo island.. Its beautiful the largest and longest cave and rainforest with org utan.. National park.. And visit long house with its culture.. Culture village..
That face you made @10:28 Daneger made me laugh right out loud. Exercise video would not be awful as the both of you look like you know what you are doing(the proof is in the pudding as both of you are FIT).
Oh now i knew Stacey is half Msian.. Or only her parent from Msia? Anywy guys cant wait to see your Turkeyyyy vbloggggg.. Cos im planning to go there too hopefully this yr 💕💓

LOVE your hair Stacey! Thanks you two for your Penang train episode - we're heading to Penang this afternoon via train thanks to that info :)
That's awesome - hope the trip went well!
Great show guys, loved it.
I appreciate your focus on the challenges of keeping in que on fitness and eating clean while traveling.
Definitely not easy! But a bit nicer and easier when we slow travel
Ooh love your vids been watching since the beginning 😍
Man this is awesome! Mate you remind me of George Bridge 😂
If I could play rugby like him I'd be happy
Thanks guys, great content.
I am just finding you now ! You two are gorgeous! a thanks from girl from Oz
You are so welcome! Thanks for joining us
Welcome back to Malaysia.
Thanks!
Welcome back to Malaysia guys...enjoy your every moments here
Loved the update.
I've missed out so many of ur vlogs dammit .. well this was not bad .. lovely view and scary at the same time xD
Good to see you checking back in on us then :) Don't look down!
Hello.. I'm new here..I'm enjoy watching ur video🙂..salam from kuching Sarawak
Another vlog yuhooo! Been waiting for this. Checking my notif every now and then haha. Thanks Daneger and Stacy! Hope to see you here in the Philippines! 🇵🇭
You're back here. Have fun.
Great video! How's the wedding planning going? And Yes! How do you keep fitness in your life while traveling?
Hard to plan a wedding while we plan every day of travel, but we're getting there!
Never been to Malaysia looks like you had a nice trip 👍🏽
Ah, u guys again?! Welcome back 😊
Yup - we're back for a little while :)
Welcome back to Malaysia, a place where you'll fall in love with. :-p
Love Kl and can't wait for you guys to show more of this beautiful country. Turkey is awesome...but the other destination is wicked. Looks like I'll be following you guys forever!
Hahaha happy to hear that!
BTW, I just booked my flight to Chiang Mai for November $285. KL is on the list. Can't wait !!! Staying at Paper Plane thanks to your recommendation from the last video you did there. 👍👍
Welcome msia in advance bro...
I think Malaysia is the most multicultural country in Asia. So that makes it very interesting for visitors.
That menu😱. Was that a huge menu Stacy was flipping? Definitely interested in fitness videos too.
Yup - that was legit the menu they have at the door hahaa
@@DanegerAndStacey Haha, interesting.
We do a lot more cable and machine type stuff now just out of necessity vs what was always heavy barbell stuff back in the day
Hey.. this is Ravi who met you at observation deck Langkawi sky cable. Waiting to see your langkawi video. Do include me as well:)
Hey Ravi! Was good to meet you and the fam, we'll be including you guys :)
I'm Malaysian and I love Malaysia so much 😘❤🇲🇾
Must say having a base to tour from / stay longer in sounds ideal...
I've been to 12 cities (Balkans mostly) in just over 5 weeks...(!)
May need to go back to KL to update my camera also...
There are plenty of good eating places in my area (Sewri Kembangan-Serdang-Sungai Besi-Kajang-Bangi-Putrajaya)
what name of this place both of you stay?nice looking view for photography i hope.
Tq for choosing my country, Malaysia as ur next trip.. 😘😍
I hope Malaysia will satisfy both of u... 😍
Feeling so sorry if Malaysia make u feel worse 😌
Soryyy for my bad grammar, siss try 😂
No worries, your grammar and English is great! Terima Kasih 😌
@@DanegerAndStacey Sama² 😍
Ahhhh AEROPRESS! The best! Which roaster was that bag from? Those notes sound lovely :)
Was hoping at least one person would notice those notes - amazing huh? It was from a cafe called Pulp :)
If you guys go to Batu ferhingi in Penang then you must visit a restaurant called ferhingi gardens, its amazing
beautiful couple ! Welcome to Malaysia
Thanks for this tip - you got us thinking for sure! We're looking at Antaliya and Bodrum at the mo so will dig into some all inclusive
Two of the realest travel vloggers around! Can't wait to see more of KL!
That gave us ear-to-ear smiles.... thank you!
Tq coming to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.😊
You should show some of the gym stuff because that is you guys. As is the slow travel. Like it when you share the cost of everything cos don't get that from most travel vlogs but your flashpoint titles in this I couldn't read cos they were too fast and to small to see on my phone! Just saying. Love your content always 🙂
Amazing comment - thanks! Will keep an eye on those flash titles as well, good feedback.
I saw the switch set up over there hah keeping you entertained? i'd be interested in the fitness side but I agree with not like how the others do it, more realistic. Man I swear I say the same thing about space all the time and my gf has the same response as Stace hah!
Good spotting! Picked that bad boy up in London last time and love it - FIFA on a plane? Hell yeah .
Malaysia is scorching hot these days, hotter than usual..how do you guys cope with the hot weather?
3 things: Aircon, swimming pools and staying hydrated with lots of beer
It's the March equinox
Welcome to Malaysia!
My i suggest u come to sarawak to visit our plce very different from west Malaysia, we are borneo island.. Its beautiful the largest and longest cave and rainforest with org utan.. National park.. And visit long house with its culture.. Culture village..
It is good to know there is Uber. I like to use Uber when I travel, but in the Asian countries Grab is good too
Unfortunately uber services have been terminated. Make sure you have the Grab app prior to arrival.
@@karl2175 Thanks for letting me know
Actually grab bought out Uber. Grab, however, I prefer over Uber, so give them a go!
That face you made @10:28 Daneger made me laugh right out loud. Exercise video would not be awful as the both of you look like you know what you are doing(the proof is in the pudding as both of you are FIT).
Haha I know when to keep my mouth shut
Love You, Beautiful Guys.
Kindest of Wishes From Leeds.
If you going to Langkawi please visit my friends at Bon Ton. It’s an amazing place.
Uber had left Malaysia lol...Only Grab remain..
Uber APAC was bought over by Grab
Great sharing . Enjoy yr stay in KL
Would love more fitness content, along with how you maintain a balanced diet while traveling!
That's quite possibly THE hardest part of travel!
Daneger and Stacey, please check Tioman island for your next getaway. Really recommended
Oh now i knew Stacey is half Msian.. Or only her parent from Msia? Anywy guys cant wait to see your Turkeyyyy vbloggggg.. Cos im planning to go there too hopefully this yr 💕💓
Just her Dad, her Mum is from New Zealand :) We're going to have loads of Turkey videos coming for sure
@@DanegerAndStacey yeayyyyy ❤️💕
Welcomt to Malaysian 😎💪
