Amazing Piece. You really do a superb job explaining the piece. I think you should do a show on TV. Very few shows I can think of, except auction houses, talk about people who have used this quality of furniture in their homes. You should, if possible, show the sold pieces in your clients homes. Cole, you have such a great eye backed with an amazing amount of knowledge. Thanks for sharing and teaching the world with what is a driven passion of yours. You make learning FUN ! On a side note, i wouldn't be surprised if the curators of the new owners find a hidden compartment in the center section of the interior, between the two corner drawers. This artisan doesn't look like the type to let a wasted opportunity, {or space} get away from him.
I am very touched by your comment and do make a solid run, at the risk of seeming a bit nuts, at making these videos fun. We took all the drawers out of this thing and really really looked! But this is one of those pieces...seriously layered. Maybe a curator next century will find the secret compartment.
Wonderfully crafted... I'm in awe. Do the original plans for the desk exist? I would love to see the intricacies of the drawings as well. Please let me know if possible. As always, well done... brava!
By the way - I found a video I forgot to edit which will be posted soon on four chairs. Afterwards I have 3 important pieces in the USA to film but they are not ready yet! Thanks for your kind comments Oscar!
It's really great what you are doing with this series. There is so little video material online regarding high quality furniture. Love the videos!
You’re so eloquent and knowledgeable, I love listening to you.
Thank you - this is very kind of you to say and I'm glad you're enjoying the videos.

Have not found the original drawings :(
@@MyersMonroe Thanks so much for your quick response. Wonderful content…Great channel!
You look like Tom Cruise from an alternate universe where chose period furniture over scientology. I'm all for it!
Haha thank you - funny you mention that - the midwest hq of the church of Scientology is just out the gallery windows.
Beautiful piece of furniture, but that sun!! I hope the windows are treated to block the uv rays that badly fade wood.
The sunlight on the wood had me wondering too - but I'm pretty sure with Myers & Monroe, UV precautions have been taken!
Yes they are special windows !
Fantastic commentary.
Much appreciated and glad you liked the video!
Huge respect that you wear gloves. So many historians remain ignorant.
Much appreciated.
Day Bed 🛏️ you say 😎✌️
