My grandma made this and I loved it as a kid. I’ve asked my mom if she remembered how grandma made it. Of course she didn’t. This looks exactly like hers. I’ll be making it this weekend. Thank you for bringing back some wonderful memories of my grandma!!
I'm so glad that found this recipe. I have made sweet potato bread that is like banana bread, but your recipe sounds like something my grandmother made. My grandfather used to talk about how she made something from sweet potatoes which was not a bread (like banana bread) but not a pudding (like a mashed sweet potato pudding). He said it was different from both of those. I never could figure out exactly what he was talking about (my grandmother had passed away), but thought it was something similar to a sweet potato bread pudding (which at the time I couldn't find recipes for because it was before the internet really existed and I had never tasted or seen that particular dish that he said she made). He did, however, tell me how delicious it was. I believe this may be like the dish she used to make for him. My mom couldn't tell me what it was (she didn't learn to cook when she was young and had to be taught how to cook by my dad when they got married). So perhaps this is a long awaited answer to prayer that I found your video. I wasn't even looking for it, but there it was!!! A cross between sweet potato pudding and sweet potato bread!!!! I will definitely try this recipe . Unfortunately, my grandfather has passed away as well so he will not get the benefit of tasting it. Thanks so much for your videos and hard work!!! I don't see your recipe though and am afraid I will mess it up without one.

Recipe; 2 medium baked sweet potatoes, 1 cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1/3 cup flour, 3tbsp butter, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup evaporated milk …mix well. Bake on 350 degrees about 35 minutes!
Hi Ruth! No baking powder ?
This looks delicious
@@RC-iq2hh No, unless you use plain flour. Thanks
Do you use plain or self rising flour
I used self rising flour in this recipe, if you have plain flour…add 1/2 tsp of baking soda. Thanks for watching 😊
