This was ok for us to live in, noone cared. I managed to get work and a 2nd job and put everything I had left after the bills and our baby and managed to get a flat for us. Why was a place like this ok for us (worked all my life) but if one of these economic migrants were put in this house it would be unfit, actually they would not have put them in their as its not fit for living, but oh no its OK for me and a pregnant gf

The real problem is: we have incompetents in charge here, who are not worth their vast salaries: these people, have made such a mess of the UK in ALL MATTERS.
With so many being single men why are they being housed by the council? Usually single British men are turned away from housing departments and told to go and find somwhere for themselves.
A thousand new houses to be built in a year yet that is only two days of arrivals of young men desperately fleeing the EU and France!

A council employee who refurbishes council properties informed me he was made to sign a form which prevents him divulging info on who gets priority for housing . Asylum seekers' jump' the queue and it has been going on for years .

When people say immigrants will benefit our economy you have to factor in £200,000 per person to build them a house or refit barges and airfield bases. So there is a lot of upfront cost before they could contribute and you might need them to take language courses or other training. I was wondering if you could tell them the up front costs are a loan and they need to pay it back at some point. How much do they cost per person from arrival to gainful employment, does anyone know ?

i fills me with sadness to feel like I'm really struggling in life right now having to live with family due to life issue (autism and ADHD) I'm trying to move forward to be independent yet there is no basic jobs anymore they are sucked up only one im offered is security im not good with people i struggle figuring people out .. there is hardly any support for people with needs thats not even speaking about housing. I feel like my life is dusted and i cant get stable in life yet i see these people come in paid 0 into system even bypassing immigration and using asylum instead and get all the support in the world....
