World premiere of a new top model from Danish DALI. Is it worth EURO 80,000? We have taken å listening test and learned what is hidden in the large cabinet.
Listened to these today for about 45 mins, running on 2 Hegel 1100W monoblocks. I listened to Bowers & Wilkins 801 D4 (their new flagship) a few months ago. I'm a big B&W fanboy, but have also owned 3 pairs of Dali speakers. I generally vastly prefer the sound signature of B&W, but I freely admit that the Dali Kores blew the 801 D4's out of the water. These monsters produce effortless sound, extremely nuanced without being analytical, and lift the music to an insane level I have personally never heard before. These speakers alone cost 3x as much as my entire setup, so they're not for me. But I'm very glad I got to enjoy them for a bit.
From personal experience I can say Dali are amazing. Had a set for almost 20 years. To day I picked up an old suite centre for movie's , old but still sounds great .I was using some cheap thing that was very nasal. Found by pure accident. ❤️ Dali .
I had the pleasure of a lengthy session with the Kore recently. I went away impressed, even if the NAD amplifier they were hooked up with is not what I would call a perfect match. Dynamics, speed and dimensionality were top class. The only weakness was some harshness on the highest tones, but whether that was due to the room, the amplifier or the Kore itself is not easy to tell. Overall, this is one of the best loudspeakers I have listened to, and to my ears it’s on par with or even above many considerably more expensive loudspeakers, which even at this price point makes the Kore something of a bargain
Would love to audition these one day, but in the meantime I can observe that they really shine cosmetically speaking, easily rivalling the the new PS Audio speakers or the Perlisten line for looks. Great job, team DALI.
for 90k euros, i could buy superb 15 inch fieldcoil woofers, 5k each, worlds best mids , for $7k each and 1k raal tweeters. plus 150 litres 2 inch thick wood cabinets will seal the deal, each can be done for 800eur no problem. total below 30k.

Okay, then I will listen to them today at the high End in Munich for my RUclips Channel. Maybe I'll do a review.
I am sure these speakers will give the big boys (wilson, magico, focal etc) a good run for the money.

Anyone know how it is possible to run 4 Nad M33 power amps as shown here? I realise they are bridged - but 4?
You run the M33 in Mono and use one on high frequencies and one on low frequencies for each speaker.
