- I went all crazy and wore a dress for that one!!! Haha. Working on my stick handling and I need a new hi hat, no haters please... hope you like it. I LOVE THE DRUMS ON THAT SONG :D

I wish my parents had pushed me when I was a kid. I really wanted to drum but they thought it would be too noisy (I don’t blame them..). As an adult now I see the skill levels of those who’ve been playing since their childhood - it’s definitely a plus! Listen to your girl’s passions and push her in the direction of pursuing things she loves. She’ll thank you one day :)

That's why there are t enough good drummers in the first place, parents don't want the noise. Add gender bias, and well...

Well, hell....that just kinda blew me away! I've been playing for over 40 years now and although I never did it for a living or made a gazillion dollars doing it, I like to think I know a drummer when I see one...and that, ladies and gentlemen, is a drummer! Fine job, young lady!

knew there was something I could learn from your playing this cover, which you do brilliantly. You found a perfect balance in holding your sticks, which uses less energy. great video! but I suggest in some instances like 1:24 try crashing at your crash cymbal to the right, it frees up space and helps you crash on both crashes when entering a bar

I don't care about stick handling, and I don't know about hi hats. And I don't want any plastics, and I don't want any ground floors, and I don't want to get married - ever - to anyone. But I could watch that video over and over... that was just awesome :)

I've been covering this song in my band for the last year and have watched a handful of the "top" drum covers on here. This is definitely the best one. It's impossible to do a perfect cover of this song because they use some recording studio tricks, but this is pretty spot on. Thanks for the post; I can't wait to steal your moves :)
