He gave me perfect peace after 10 years of heartache and depression... It’s all true, I felt his love for 10 seconds and it’s not of this world. I’m giving up every sin in my life and I’m 39 years old. This just happened on 9-16-2020. I’ll do anything to please him no sin is worth that love. I wish I could tell you the key to unlock it. It literally took all my worries and heartache away and believe me I had a ton. I smoked pot everyday since I was 16 and now I have no desire. I lust after women and now have no desire. Would love to share my testimony.. John 14 :27 took me through when i was fired in the company i worked for 23 years because of dishonesty.. I can testify the love of God. The peace of God that passes all human understanding..My heart was so trouble.. i was afraid what people will say.. i was worried hw i will take carecof kids, the bills , the medical, all the benefits i had.. we believe or trust so much in the world system..the world Jesus is referring too.. the world or humans can change.. After i admited my sin and went on my knees to ask God forgiveness, the peace that came in my heart, i felt it.. God accept me and did not reject me. He took away the shame off me . Even when i walk the street, i feel so free and is a good thing to have peace of heartvfrom above..john 16 v 33.. tribulations i tasted it, rejection i felt it. But Jesus is Lord over all what we go through. Jesus will give you joy. I have felt the love of God. And to tell you the truth brethren, is not by accident that i happen to listen to you . Therefore I declare and decree that every stronghold in my life produced by negative thought patterns are broken in Jesus mighty name, Amen!
The most effective prayer is the one that comes directly from the heart of that particular individual. This being the case, we should cry out to God in our own authentic words rather than trying to standardize a "prayer against negativity." Either way negativity and anxiety are not synonyms.
Personal experience on how I lastingly overcame my anxiety: It's a cycle of thought --> emotion (what you feel) --> thought --> emotion (what you feel) .... First you need to differentiate between these two. Because dealing with one is different from dealing with the other. Since it's a circle, you must break one of these, but you can deal with both. Dealing with the thought(s) is more important. The circle (your anxiety) does not disappear instantly. But it becomes weaker every time you manage to break one element of it. 1. Regarding the emotions you might search for breathing techniques or methods to cause physical pain to lessen the feeling. And remember the emotion (= physical, what you actually feel when anxiety manifests itself) is not the same as the thought which triggered the emotion. You cannot fight the emotion itself or run away mentally without making things worse. But what you can do is to face the emotions which means to become aware of your bodily symptoms and accept them voluntarily. Your emotions cannot (!) force you to fight them mentally (= with your thoughts). That’s how the chain between emotion and thought can be cut by refusing to fight the emotion after having had the thought. 2. Regarding the thoughts themselves: Your thoughts can become an inner circle if you start catastrophising. Catastrophising must be interrupted right at the start and must not be thought through till some presumed result is found which falsely promises inner peace. How do you do it? You must not try to not think about it because that does not work. Instead, you think about something else something that distracts you very easily (for instance, in my case that’s the latest football news). And now back to 1.. And remember, the anxiety circle doesn’t disappear instantly, but it becomes weaker every time focus on 1. or 2.. Your anxiety will steadily decrease by time, might take you days, weeks or months. But it works if you stick to it. You are in control. Your fear cannot force you to fight it. “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” (1. John 4:18, highly recommend the entire 4th chapter)

I write this on 31 October 2023, after the pandemic, the lockdowns, after the riots, after worldwide supply chains have been wrecked and the world economy is in shambles; Kabul has fallen and Russia invaded Ukraine again; inflation is skyrocketing; families that survived the lockdowns are struggling to make ends meet; many beautiful wonderful marriages, even Christian marriages that have lasted for decades, somehow failed to endure the lockdowns; ex-husbands & wives are now struggling with depression & heartache. Hamas has attacked Israel and only the Sovereign Lord God knows what is coming next. Dear Lord Father God, please help us. Please be sovereign over our troubled stubborn carnal unbelieving unfaithful wayward hearts. Have mercy and please help us in our unbelief. I ask for Your Peace. I ask for Your Son, the Prince of Peace to live in us so that it is no longer we who live but Christ who lives in us. He must increase, we must decrease. Lord Holy Spirit, please glorify Christ Jesus by making Him more and more evident in our broken hurting everyday lives. Have mercy on us I cry in Christ Jesus' precious holy name. i currently am faced with severe anxiety. i believe that iv'e committed the unforgivable sin and my conscience testifies to that as well in that i can't see Christ as my own. But if there is any hope, then i would love to hear from anyone who has experienced this or is going through it thanks.
I have good news for you. I've seen several times now people concerned about having committed the unforgivable sin asking that very question and the answer is always the same: they haven't. Because the unforgivable sin is not a sin that one would be concerned about having committed. It's a sin that you only commit when you just don't care anymore.
Beloved Sam, I believe you can refer to scripture Matthew 12:31 where it says that the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy against Holy Spirit. Our Lord loves us unconditionally either we believe it or not, it is not our choice - God is love (1 John 4:8). If He allows this message to console your soul let it be so. Do not quit, hold on to Him. I know it is hard, but He will also help you to hold on, He will not leave you on your own through this tough time.

I’ve been dealing with this crippling anxiety and panic disorder for about 4 years now. Currently it has been very bad and I can barely go anywhere. But He also ate with the Pharisees when invited, that was when Mary washed and dried the feet of Jesus with her hair and tears. In 1 John 4 it talks about avoiding corrupt company. Seems that so-called peace he describes kinda sucks for most of humanity who are hopelessly suffering in eternal hell. However, if hell isn't eternal, it's another story... I'd encourage all to look up aionios and kolasin in the Greek. (Matt 25:46)
Glenn Racz There is no hell fire right now. The wicked will be put into hell fire after the end of the world. They will burn until they die. Hell is only eternal in a sense that they can't be brought back from it. After they die in hell fire, they stay dead; God won't bring them back to life -- everlasting life. That's why it's call the second DEATH in Revelation 21:8. When people die in this life, they are brought in to a dead state with no consciousness. This is what the Bible calls the grave. After the end of the world, God will resurrect everyone. The saved will go to heaven, and later, a renewed earth. The wicked will die the SECOND death in hell fire Rev 21:8.
Affixton96 - well we r both in the minority with our hell doctrine, but I agree "infinitely" more with your Annihilation view than I do Piper's "any sin= eternal torture". However, it should be noted that aionios (incorrectly translated eternal & forever) should be age-long. It's too bad, cause I enjoy so many of Piper's other views on scripture.
In hell are those who are haters of God and rebelled against him. Their is no peace from Christ for them. The peace from Christ only comes to those who believe in him and rest on him for their salvation from all of their rebellion and sin.

The appeal of Calvinism is feeling lucky and pumped up that they are called and others are not, all because of God’s lucky roll of the dice, even though this speaks very clearly of God’s unfairness. For God to select some and not others upon the roll of the dice is incredibly unjust. But as we know that God is absolutely fair and just we also know that He isn’t just a roller of the dice. The preacher sounds mad. He is outright scarry with his total change of mood and speaking voice. He will scare people who are nw to Christianity or who are trying to explore it away. Show the fruits of the spirit, that includes self control and peacefulness, not sudden extreme screaming, total mood change and outbursts.

I’m 54: years old and I have been with Jesus Christ. For over 32 years and I still need peace. But peace of Jesus Christ

i currently am faced with severe anxiety. i believe that iv'e committed the unforgivable sin and my conscience testifies to that as well in that i can't see Christ as my own. But if there is any hope, then i would love to hear from anyone who has experienced this or is going through it thanks.
I have good news for you. I've seen several times now people concerned about having committed the unforgivable sin asking that very question and the answer is always the same: they haven't. Because the unforgivable sin is not a sin that one would be concerned about having committed. It's a sin that you only commit when you just don't care anymore.
Also I have anxiety about my salvation because the bible says all who would live a godly life will be persecuted and I haven't.

Beloved Sam, I believe you can refer to scripture Matthew 12:31 where it says that the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy against Holy Spirit. Our Lord loves us unconditionally either we believe it or not, it is not our choice - God is love (1 John 4:8). If He allows this message to console your soul let it be so. Do not quit, hold on to Him. I know it is hard, but He will also help you to hold on, He will not leave you on your own through this tough time.

Thank you Bro John. I have a question regarding two scriptures. In Mark 2:16 Jesus eats with the tax collectors and sinners. But He also ate with the Pharisees when invited, that was when Mary washed and dried the feet of Jesus with her hair and tears. In 1 John 4 it talks about avoiding corrupt company. Seems that so-called peace he describes kinda sucks for most of humanity who are hopelessly suffering in eternal hell. However, if hell isn't eternal, it's another story... I'd encourage all to look up aionios and kolasin in the Greek. (Matt 25:46)
Glenn Racz There is no hell fire right now. The wicked will be put into hell fire after the end of the world. They will burn until they die. Hell is only eternal in a sense that they can't be brought back from it. After they die in hell fire, they stay dead; God won't bring them back to life -- everlasting life. That's why it's call the second DEATH in Revelation 21:8. When people die in this life, they are brought in to a dead state with no consciousness. This is what the Bible calls the grave. After the end of the world, God will resurrect everyone. The saved will go to heaven, and later, a renewed earth. The wicked will die the SECOND death in hell fire Rev 21:8.
Affixton96 - well we r both in the minority with our hell doctrine, but I agree "infinitely" more with your Annihilation view than I do Piper's "any sin= eternal torture". However, it should be noted that aionios (incorrectly translated eternal & forever) should be age-long.

Nope brother/sister, because this is the peace about which we should stand on hilltops and shout to the world. It's only an overflow of love towards God.
The appeal of Calvinism is feeling lucky and pumped up that they are called and others are not, all because of God’s lucky roll of the dice, even though this speaks very clearly of God’s unfairness.
For God to select some and not others upon the roll of the dice is incredibly unjust.
But as we know that God is absolutely fair and just we also know that He isn’t just a roller of the dice.
God helps those get across the line with predestination who want to get saved.

The preacher sounds mad. He is outright scarry with his total change of mood and speaking voice. He will scare people who are nw to Christianity or who are trying to explore it away. Show the fruits of the spirit, that includes self control and peacefulness, not sudden extreme screaming, total mood change and outbursts.
