Well actually was the hackers from this game because they were players who got ban for cheating. In 4chan they decided to send emails to Nintendo so they obliged the creator to delete the game.
@@CasiniLoogi Take what Nintendo says with a grain of salt because they're full of crap. They said something similar with AM2R which had been in development for a good 5-6 years until it was released and their own remake was garbage compared to AM2R & it's obvious they rushed that game with little effort. Despite having all the money they do, Nintendo has little to no guts these days to have released a 2d Metroid without having a fanmade 2d Metroid as a gauge to test the interest. Same thing with this game. You could see this with other things too---like their refusal to make any new 8-bit games. The most they've done is make the NES Remix games and the Mario Maker games. It would be no problem for them to do what Capcom did with Mega Man 9 & 10 (give us new 8-bit NES style Mega Man games) and give us new 8-bit Nintendo games (such as Star Tropics 3, Super Mario Bros 6 [considering that 4 & 5 were prototype names for SMW1 & 2], a new 8-bit Zelda, a new Balloon Fight, Excitebike, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Kid Icarus, etc and also brand new 8-bit franchises). Same with new 16-bit games, like a new 16-bit Zelda, Metroid, a never before seen 16-bit Kid Icarus, and so on. It would be a smart business choice releasing such games between triple A releases since the development cost of such games would be small and the sales and interest would be high, especially with Nintendo making them. Nintendo is just a lagging company when it comes to retro. Like every other game company that never preserved their games' source code, the only reason they have anything retro to sell is because of the emulation scene that preserved the roms and made it possible for them to download their old games back from the very rom sites they sue these days. Not a single 8-bit game from them (like Super Mario Deluxe on GBC) was released, other than SM All Stars, which doesn't even count because it's a horribly laggy 16-bit recoding/recreation of the 8-bit games that had to be built from the ground up, until after the emulation of the NES & its games began in the mid-late 90s. And even then it was few & far between (like the NES Zeldas on the special Gamecube Zelda disc) until the Virtual Console came to be. They just don't give priority to retro, even though it makes them lots of money as seen with the NES & SNES Mini. In fact they're just behind with a lot of stuff in addition to retro, like their online service which is pretty laggy for multiplayer and has taken like 2-3 generations to be like how Sony's PSN & Microsoft's XBLA were. Considering how very little effort needed to go into Mario 35, given how it was a rehash of an old game with some new things added on & the sheer # of developers Nintendo have at their access vs. the 1 man job that Mario Royale was, if they had Mario 35 in development before Mario Royale, there is no way they would've been beaten to the punch to release their game by a 1 man team. There was no reason this game couldn't coexist with their own later released Mario 35 game, which as of today is now offline. A big insult to the creator of Mario Royale if you ask me. I don't think Mario 35 was a bad game (only got to play it for 1 day---yesterday), though I wasn't a fan of certain physics changes and the repetitive nature of the easiest stages looping so often while harder stages showed up very infrequently and had to be unlocked in the 35 Player Battle mode and the coin cheats could be spammed more than I thought they should. The biggest "screw you" to the fans is that now we have no Mario battle royale game. A very shitty way to treat us Nintendo veterans who have been their longtime customers for over 30 years, who made their foothold in the overseas markets (outside Japan) possible, who in general have more disposable income than younger customers & who could care less about the modern 3D Mario-Zelda-Pokemon-Smash Bros games and would prefer new 8-bit & 16-bit sprite based games of the style seen on the NES, GB & SNES, back in Nintendo's most creative and bold days. It would be nice if they could at least bring back Mario 35 in the future, but I doubt that will happen. Nintendo has become too much like Disney with its vault lately with temporary releases like Mario 35 that should have lasted the rest of the Switch's life. They're far from the company they were in the 80s & 90s when I was a kid & teen or even what they were under Iwata. Nowadays it's all about putting the least amount of effort and releasing the same content over & over again from the Wii U to the Switch (like Mario 3D World) for full $60 with only a few additions, if any at all. Had Nintendo done that from the NES to the SNES, they would've been laughed out the door and Sega would've certainly trashed them for it.
FRANDERMAN123 I would prefer a Super Mario 64 Royale. Also a co-op version where you all have to work together to collect every single star, or you all collectively lose.
