I really hate to differ with you but in my experience that is 100% untrue.
I am a member of a 12-step fellowship and there are people there that I have known for many years. Even during the pandemic there was an area where we were all meeting in person.
I started feeling apart from them and I have not been to a meeting in over 2 years or touch you any of them.
I've got no phone calls or texts from any of them
