  • Wild ginger is such a fantastic woodland wildflower! These forest herbs are a piece of the puzzle for restoration, and it's so exciting to transplant ones growing into the path and spread them around. Whoop!

Virginia Bluebells…super easy to get going from seed. 💙 I just love “your” land! I hope Steve doesn’t injure his plantar fasciitis with digging in sandals. It can happen quite quickly.

His feet have been quite a challenge for more than 8 years. The Chacos are the only shoes that help. He just needs to not chop a toe off! ;) The shared land we inhabit is wonderful. Agreed. It is that way everywhere isn't it? Yes, Virginia bluebells...one that is easy. WOO HOO!

It's been 70+ degrees here recently-- just saw my first Damselfly yesterday, and saw my first Yellow Swallowtail Butterfly today nectaring on one of my Crabapples. My Cirsium horridulum is starting to bloom-- grew them last year but only flowering now. It's been so warm this winter that they never even went dormant. I've been wondering-- do you listen to tunes on an MP3 player when traipsing around the land? I do constantly. I'd be very happy to give you my playlist. Love!!

Your winter sounds wild! Thanks for the playlist offer. We don't listen while traipsing around, but we do listen while cooking...usually to RUclips on our phones. :)
