    Quite simply: one of the most beautiful choral anthems ever written. And when you understand the complexity of the canonic framework that underpins the whole piece, it makes the genius of Brahms even more mind-boggling!

    Seriously, one of the most glorious Amens ever written (tied with Finzi's Full Final). Heartbreaking.

    It's simply wonderful. Brahms was only 23 years old when he composed this masterpiece.

    They get the pacing perfect here, and that's very difficult.
