I love that they are treating Izzy's Venom addiction just like any others drug addiction. Showing it realistically and that you struggle with it every day.

Just a theory regarding Luke not having a father-daughter moment in this episode. I think that they had that moment back when him, Jace and Alec found her wit Jonathan in Paris. The writers probably expected us to assume that all three of them had a reunion of some sort with her between this episode and the last. Just my two cents here though
Brian Lau I agree, the writers has been making us the audience, fill in the blanks a lot in this show. They should have shown a reunion with Luke in last episode, that’s why that reunion scene last episode was cold.

When Clary was arrested and sentenced to death for using Raziels wish to bring Jace back, Luke wanted to use the pack to break Clary out. The pack got pissed he keeps choosing Clary over the Pack so Luke quit the pack so he was free to try to go after Clary. However he got pulled in for questioning and suspended from the NYPD first and Clary was broken out of the guard by Jace to take her to Lilith.
