My hometown is Mae Sot, a border city in Thailand. It’s the closest city to Mwaddy. Ten years ago, a plane from Bangkok to Mae Sot, it’s usually full of Burmese or Thai but recently, when I took the plane back to Mae Sot, it’s usually full of Chinese. I saw some Chinese in Mae Sot but seriously, they are not in Mae Sot. They went to Mwaddy. The two cities is divided by a river and now the river is drying up, you could actually walk to other country without any check, with some “fees” obviously. It’s an open secret that Mwaddy is a scammer capital. But both of the countries don’t want to do anything about it. Many Thais were scammed by these centers in Mwaddy.

I’m American and Canadian. But my Canadian passport is 7th and my American passport is 8th. With my Canadian passport I can get in more places than I can with my American passport. Plus people like Canadians and get treated better than my fellow American counterparts that are traveling the same venue or flight. In the Philippines we aren't surprised if there's a news article about Chinese tourist being kidnapped and tortured by fellow Chinese immigrants and upon investigating the cases, our local law enforcement always have the conclusion that leads to the victims being promised a good paying work and that they were promised free housing and a lot more BS, but upon arriving in the Philippines they are bound and tortured, one of this incidents actually happened just a few months back near where I live, so yes the only dangers to Chinese tourists are their fellow citizens.

There's no law in China only power influence, but what people don't seem to understand is the whole Asian sector have major criminal power with little legal enforcement because the politics are not democratic but totalitarian in nature in almost all fronts. The default hierarchy for most of the world is not democracies or republics, it's usually some form of single ruler or party that's not regulated or controlled by laws or rules of any nature. Having decentralized power is extremely hard with outside influence degrading the attempt all the time.
