    Mike did a great job of handling this interview. It's a shame these anchor's kept interrupting him while he was trying to speak.

    Absolutely so disrespectful that the anchors kept interrupting. Let the guy get more than 10 seconds of a sentence out. The reason you have people on the show is to get information from them by interviewing them. When you constantly interrupt them they cant get a complete thought out and then your audience suffers from that. Its that simple.

    He took the words out of my mouth, AT&T is was supposed to streamline DirecTV completely wirelessly, with Cloud DVR service, pay per device, with as many channels as you want in HD

    I'm not much of a TV watching person. I love sports though. All I want to know is if I will be able to watch all the sports I want with this service. I'm mainly interested in NFL, NBA, MLB and boxing.

    • @Useyno
      @Useyno 6 лет назад

      StrykerEcks I think it will be like a cross hybrid set top box that is similar to an android tv but has NTSC tv tuner capabilities, almost like having an HD Homerun that would allow you to pick up local stations that would broadcast live signal and be in conjunction with an interactive interface through that feature, so yes you would be able to watch it in that case, and if you want some sort of sports packages deal where you want to watch all the games that may be done by an app service of NFL games.

    Apple thought they had it and couldn't get the content providers onboard. Mike Sievert is right when he is talking about the user experience though: we all want content when we want it on on the device we have at hand and we want a seamless, fair way to pay for it. If it means that we have to sit through commercials to cover the costs, we want relevant ads tailored to us personally and not just blanket market junk ads that we are not ever going to be interested in like tampons (if you are a man) or Viagra (if you are under 50).

    It sounds like a cable box with built-in cellular network capability. No one wants a cable box. They want an app with a nice interface that isn't complete and utter garbage. Have you checked the rating on any of the Live TV applications? Because I have. The ratings are awful and all of the comments are complaints about how the application is buggy. Look at Netflix's application. It is perfect and has a 4 star rating. Have you looked at the TiVo mobile app rating? If T-Mobile does it right, they would be the second Live TV application on iOS to have a more than 4 star rating. Sling TV has a more than 4 star rating on their application in the iOS App Store. Netflix integration into the application would be great. I don't think they would have Netflix integration on the iOS or Android app, but certainly on the Windows, Mac and Linux application. There is no reason not to have an application for Mac because the developers would use technology that is cross-platform. Discord uses JavaScript. The same interface is in the Windows, Mac, Linux and Web application and they all use the same code base. *I just want to point out that my dream Live TV service would have a Cloud DVR where I can record anything I want with unlimited space, has all the channels I currently have (some Live TV services don't have EPIX or you can't record ABC for some strange reason or it doesn't have CNN). I don't care about the price, what I care about is the functionality. I would literally be paying the same amount of money if I were to go to any of these Live TV services with all of the premium channels paid for, but they wouldn't tell anyone that.

      Macario Patrick. If its a box like a wireless receiver with 5G technology giving you a internet service at home + an app for streaming like Netflix on any TV then it will be a boom.

    • @mactastic144
      @mactastic144 6 лет назад

      I assume people knew I was talking about 5G capability. However, you can't just put a 5G capable device in your house and expect to get 5G speeds. A femtocell would have to installed on the house to get signal from the much larger cell tower located in the field. I don't like the idea because they would likely throttle your speeds and put a bandwidth cap on 5G broadband.

    So this will be interesting. Will they inlcude this with the phone plan and will it be unlimited like our phones or will there be another charge. Also how do they co exist with netflix will i have to subscribe to both or will it be included in my plan for example ?? Guess well see i think its got the potential to be game changing

    • @alwilliam3379
      @alwilliam3379 6 лет назад

      Too early to tell. I think only one subscription and the service will include whatever is available on the net (Netflix, HBO, Sports, Network Channels). Each respective company or provider will get a cut every time a user watches their channel or program. And probably some sort of a package deal to T-Mo customers as well when it comes to subscription price.
