I think the first 6 minutes of the video can be done in photoshop within 5 sec and then import that file into AE which will be far more efficient than the tedious way of separating this jumper from background manually
I'm sorry but this is probably the slowest way possible to achieve the effect. If you have AE you probably have PS, so just open the image in PS. An image like the one in your example can be cut out with select subject in seconds. Make one layer with subject only and clone out the subject in the background layer. Now you can export to AE, put the subject wherever you want in the frame and puppet the dude to your heart's content. You can do all of this in less time than it takes to mask out just the guy's legs.
Do you happen to have a tutorial of that? I'm trying to animate a comic. Slighr movement comic animation and I've been struggling, I see all these videos different techniques and im still not sure how to go about it. Mine are solid 2d images but I seem some people do everything (even animate) with photoshop, some seperate all the layers in photoshop and animate in After effects and some use all after effect >_< haaalp
I was able to follow the video all the way to the end. The couple of problems I had is with the Content Aware Fill. That screen was visible only partially on my computer screen and I think I messed up a bit with the Work Area and then Generate Fill Layer which I could not see (that window was at the bottom of my screen and I could only get half of it). The other issue: is it "Hit N" at 4:25 mins? The music makes it hard to hear at times. If someone could clarify. Thank you. Otherwise, the video corresponds more or less to what I was looking for.
After trying and trying, I finally got it right. But it does take some practice. Thank you so much for your videos. There are well explained for the most part, and not too fast. I hope you will make some more in the future.
@@Blackbronx Thank you. Another question: what if you want to move the woman as well? My composition has several elements to move. Your video only explains how to move one element (the guy). I need to move six elements. Can you please explain? I am really stuck. Thank you.
Thank you so much for these quick tutorials videos! Love how you can explain everything so clearly without wasting any time! 👍🏻
Most welcome, thanks for support 🤘🏻
