I didn't know you can add a signature in gmail like that! damn ive been fighting with gmail trying to create a decent looking email signature... tried html, tried building tables in word, tried using email signature templates. never worked well for me. This works! thanks guys!
Hello! I recently did a WiseStamp signature for my Gmail. I followed the steps as shown in this video, BUT my signature does NOT come up in my Gmail. Not sure why. I've refreshed and done everything and it still does NOT show up. I tried copy and pasting the signature I created and when I want to save the changes, Gmail says the signature is TOO long. But, it's the same length as the signature shown in the video. Need HELP! Thanks for any help you can provide :)
Hey, sorry to hear it. This sometimes happens, because Gmail has set a character limit on their signature settings of 10,000 characters. This character count is the characters used in the HTML code behind the signature design. If you're receiving the error message that your signature is too long you can try doing the following fixes: 1. Shorten links in your signature Links can be very long and take up a lot of space in code. You can either remove unnecessary links, or use programs like tinylink.net/ or bitly.com/ to shorten your links. 2. Enable HTML in Gmail This problem also sometimes happens when you have “Plain text mode” enabled. To solve this you’ll need to enable HTML in Gmail. This is actually very simple. What you do is go to the bottom-right corner of your new message window and click the 3 vertical dots. The deselect “Plain text mode”. Now reopen a new message and you’ll see your signature just fine. This video we made walks you through it: ruclips.net/video/4NYAVONphLo/видео.html 3. Removing your Google Analytics tracking codes (I assume this is less likely to be your problem, but just in case) UTM codes which are used by Google to track link links and engagement add a lot of extra code into the signature. These UTM tags can add up to 800 characters to your signature. If the problem persists, please contact our support team at: support.wisestamp.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Hope this helped :)
