The Jewish priests were mediators between God and His people (see updated video: • Jewish High Priest's C... ). They were responsible for:
1. Daily maintenance of the tabernacle, courtyard and sacrifices (Num. 3:5-8; Deut. 17:1).
2. Providing divine guidance (Urim and Thummim; Num. 27:21).
3. Teaching God's people (Deut. 33:10).
4. Maintaining a holy life (Lev. 10:1-3).

Many thanks. I was struck by the comment about blood ,ashes etc staining the priestly garments during temple activities. The similarity might be the offense, malice, hurts and pollutions that might stain a Christian in our contemporary polluted world! Conclusion... Quick to repent and continue to strive like the few saints in Sardis ......who have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy! Rev 3 vs 4
