Hey let me help you with the rice. The rice Gullah people still eat today is called river rice or Indian rice.I had to dig very deep to find the Indigenous American rice that is NOT wild rice but I found it. Look up indian or river rice. A famous old school variety that has lost its popularity is carolina gold rice. Thank you for posting this. Peace.
