    I hope you all have a great weekend are are able to get outside! I can't tell you how badly I need it at times...anyone else this way?

      If it's me I'd use a small amount of epoxy filler (can buy the small tubes of 5 minute stuff) then sand it flush then couple coats of food safe oil like butcher block, mineral oil or some use veg oil - lots of vids too. I did this on a table top and worked awesome

      I get this way all the time..even get depressed if I am not in nature enough. Definitely feeling a overnighter on the river soon....started at a new shop and have not had the time lately. Gotta get the money while the getting good 😆

      Haha totally get it! I haven't taken much time off work yet. Had all these big plans to canoe trip in Canada when I started the channel. We all know how that worked out.....🇺🇲 😆 let's hope in the near future. 🙏 Definitely get out on that river!!

      Yeah man, at the end of the weekend the ride back to the car, my buddy just let out a sigh and was like, man, I needed that.

    What a great spot for coffee and breakfast! I have the same egg carrier and when you opened it up and had used the extra dead space for storage I thought to myself “why didn’t I think of that” lol very cool to get up close to a deer! The whole trip just looked super peaceful 👍

      It was exactly what I needed that day. I'm such a newb. When the deer was in the water I wanted to take a still shot, but hit the STOP recording button instead. 😒 😆

    What a great video!
    I love the fact that you take the time, even if it is only a half hour away to enjoy coffee in the outdoors!!
    I have a beautiful lake in the foot of the Adirondacks that backs up to my property and I kayak it 3-4 times a week in the nice weather.....I never thought to just pull up on the shore, make a fire with my firestick, camp cook and enjoy a cup a coffee, breakfast or lunch. I will absolutely be doing that this spring!!
    I have watched about four of your videos now and they are EXCELLENT!! All filmed w a GoPro?
    Your choice of music and B roll is absolutely beautiful!
    Keep up the awesome work!

      What a compliment, thank you Billy. Your property sounds amazing!! I love the Adirondacks more than anything but can't get out there as much as I'd like to. I've got some fun ideas for 2022, more small local paddling adventures like this included!

    The camera falling over after the vehicle passes over it is editing gold ! Cool shot.That deer was cool. Balancing videos and life can be a difficult thing to do.

    Another excellent and greatly appreciated video! Hello from Canada. I've been there when even through the fire should start it just doesn't want to. The deer scene was gold! Another few days and I head out to bug country for my first back-country canoeing adventure of the year. Thanks for the motivation!

      @@BackcountryPaddler 7 days in Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario. Tim Lake ==>> Tim River ==> Big Trout Lake ==> Canoe Lake. Eventually a trip video will appear on my channel. My first two planned trips this year were cancelled due to the lockdown although I managed to do a lot of Day Paddles and really give my Swift Prospector 14 a good workout.

    I definitely need to check that coffee out, I too enjoy whiskey (mainly bourbon) so I need to give it a try. It's always cool when Nature's wild life decides to make a guest appearance on RUclips. Breakfast looked yummy, esp. the sausages! Thanks for being awesome!

    Wow what a experience with the deer! The fact you had the camera running when the deer came up was perfect! I fully understand what you're talking about about only being able to go out on a specific day. Lately it has been the same way with me and Mav... seeing that we are both working...both have kids and family which always comes 1st. RUclips is definitely a passion tho! Drop that video when you can my friend and we will watch it 👍

      That deer was a highlight of my morning! And you definitely get it Trav.. I'm at least saving up some vacation time for some real trips. I'm thinking July, Sept and Oct I'll get out on multi day trips again in the Adirondacks and possibly the PNW. That's the hope at least 🤞🤙

    I really need to get a canoe like yours. I just did Section 1 of the NFCT with my Radisson canoe and it was tough being so slow! Its amazing for fishing which was a big part of the trip but when I tried to make miles it was SLLOOOWWW going.

      When you're trying to make some distance it is certainly a luxury having a pack boat that I can use a double blade paddle with! What's the NFCT?

      @@BackcountryPaddler The Northern Forest Canoe Trail, it goes all the way from Old Forge to Fort Kent Maine. I did Section 1 from Old Forge to Long Lake taking 7 days so I could fish every lake and river I paddled in between. It was a great time just slow going when trying to make miles.

    Great video. Really like the intro. I too want to get to the PNW. Canceled a 4day trek around Mt Hood Timberline Trail last September due to the riots and forest fires. Where in the PNW do you want to go?

      The 3 Sisters would definitely be cool to see. No set itinerary for if I visit. Would be hooking up with another RUclipsr who would show me around some cool spots! Hard to go wrong there, it all looks so amazing. Didn't you say you had something planned there this year too?

      I feel petty lucky to live where I do. I'm 5 hours from Algonquin and the Adirondacks plus I have some beautiful spots like this near home. I never take it for granted! Where is Okanagan?

    What beach is this? Have you tried Hither Hills Beach Campsite in Suffolk county Long Island?

      I have not.. but I'd like to check it out! I don't believe this beach has a name but it is at the mouth of 18 Mile Creek in Hamburg, NY.

    I too am a whiskey drinker. But, I'm not a big fan of the blended stuff (American or Canadian). I like Kentucky Straight whiskey. Specifically, Buffalo Trace. It's expensive, but worth it. Not enough O's in smooth for that stuff. Try it, if you haven't already.

      I use a couple programs and am still figuring out what I like best. Open Shot video editor, Adobe Premier Pro and even a couple apps on my phone for some things.
