If it's me I'd use a small amount of epoxy filler (can buy the small tubes of 5 minute stuff) then sand it flush then couple coats of food safe oil like butcher block, mineral oil or some use veg oil - lots of vids too. I did this on a table top and worked awesome
I get this way all the time..even get depressed if I am not in nature enough. Definitely feeling a overnighter on the river soon....started at a new shop and have not had the time lately. Gotta get the money while the getting good 😆

I have a beautiful lake in the foot of the Adirondacks that backs up to my property and I kayak it 3-4 times a week in the nice weather.....I never thought to just pull up on the shore, make a fire with my firestick, camp cook and enjoy a cup a coffee, breakfast or lunch. I will absolutely be doing that this spring!! I have watched about four of your videos now and they are EXCELLENT!! All filmed w a GoPro? Your choice of music and B roll is absolutely beautiful! Keep up the awesome work!

My first two planned trips this year were cancelled due to the lockdown although I managed to do a lot of Day Paddles and really give my Swift Prospector 14 a good workout.

I really need to get a canoe like yours. I just did Section 1 of the NFCT with my Radisson canoe and it was tough being so slow! Its amazing for fishing which was a big part of the trip but when I tried to make miles it was SLLOOOWWW going.
@@BackcountryPaddler The Northern Forest Canoe Trail, it goes all the way from Old Forge to Fort Kent Maine. I did Section 1 from Old Forge to Long Lake taking 7 days so I could fish every lake and river I paddled in between. It was a great time just slow going when trying to make miles.

I feel petty lucky to live where I do. I'm 5 hours from Algonquin and the Adirondacks plus I have some beautiful spots like this near home. I never take it for granted! Where is Okanagan?
I too am a whiskey drinker. But, I'm not a big fan of the blended stuff (American or Canadian). I like Kentucky Straight whiskey. Specifically, Buffalo Trace. It's expensive, but worth it. Not enough O's in smooth for that stuff. Try it, if you haven't already.
I use a couple programs and am still figuring out what I like best. Open Shot video editor, Adobe Premier Pro and even a couple apps on my phone for some things.

When you're trying to make some distance it is certainly a luxury having a pack boat that I can use a double blade paddle with! What's the NFCT?
