i just went and played the level. it's confusing because the very center of the balls is collidable, but the outer shell isn't. so the racing line ones you can drive over, the others you can't
@@snowe.. the ones floating have spheres inside them i think. Those have collision i guess. I saw these lights in the new beginner maps that have been added with v16

Yannic should an an option to allow map builders to make checkpoints that don't have to be gotten. Like map with 10 checkpoints, but you only have to get 7 or something like that. It would and so much optimization strategy of which checkpoints to go for.
I think there is a shortcut on Dreaming Spires if you use the second set of see glass panels on the right. You mentioned maybe being able to drive on them. I don't think you can the first set, but others I think are possible.

Maybe the Gungon level, but the spire levels, those are Ronan dots too help you with alignment.
