The high moments of the wedding were Zara trying to control herself and her laughter when the Minister was thumping the pulpit and The Queen’s death of doom when she saw Meghan in a pure white dress with the virginal veil over her face. Brilliant!

I may have mentioned this before but as a South African who is of mixed heritage and who grew up under apartheid, I know all about experiencing racism but I'm so tired of identity politics and people thinking racism only comes from white people. All people can be racist. Why is society trying to convince me that only black people have the monopoly on racism? I'm so tired of society being so blatantly racist and ignorant in the name of racial justice?! There is racism, colorism and prejudice in every race (the human race). I say this as someone who is of German, African and Dutch heritage. I'm a human being and judge and want to be judged on the content of my character. Society needs to wake up and stop this madness, it's only creating more division amonst us in my opinion. History is there to teach us how to be better. Changing and rewriting history and critisizing people for being a certain colour so blatantly, confuses people in my opinion and they are bound to make the same mistakes again.
You have truly said that histories mistakes should not be forgotten. Racism, factions, sectarianism, have to be set aside as a new world is before us. Everyone needs to turn to each other to bring this new millennium to begin healing these differences. This will not be easy. I am not naive. But I am hopeful that with global content on various platforms and media, that we can learn about each other as individuals and as part of different cultures. The youth of today, such as those under the Prince of Edinburgh Trust, are going to be the leaders in industry, government, academia, science, etc. We senior people can learn from them. But we can also remind them of what it was like in the past, and guide with our knowledge, and also give warnings about possible destructive suggestions.

The wedding was the first time I saw Doria and realized Meghan was biracial. At the time, I thought it was strange there were no other family members and no maid/matron of honor. Meghan pulled her usual stunts and badgered, stalked, and pestered a contact he had if he could “ask his agent to get her a spot in the conference schedule” (the agent knew the head of the conference committee or something)…so Meghan had dug all that out and the connections and then purposefully pulled stunts to climb the ladder to get that “Place at the table”. The agent she stalked was actually for a tennis player who was a good friend of the Irish tennis player Rory whom she stalked, bribed, and orchestrated into forming a relationship (while she was with Cory and supposedly they were about to get engaged). So she met Rory’s friend, that tennis player - determined somehow who his agent was - then called the tennis guy up bc he was a “friend of Rory’s” and begged him to ask his agent to get her a speaking spot! Apparently her and the agent met in person at the conference and “hit it off and had so much in common” - anyone else see the pattern yet!?!? She “rebrands” herself each time to be what the person she is manipulating to believe they are BFFs and that she’s so down to earth and “real”. It makes me SICK! She’s a complete fraud and has no personality of her own!

The wedding guest-list actually worked in her favour - for a little while. Those of us (which is most of us!) who were supportive of the Prince Harry we thought we knew but we had no idea who Smeg was, we actually thought, "Wow - she mustn't have any family to speak of - but just look at all of her Hollywood friends!" Even Oprah! I remember thinking she must be soooo loved in Hollywood! I never thought for one second that she would invite a whole church full of people she had never even met - much less could I later figure out why on earth all those famous people would even ACCEPT an invitation to a wedding of someone they've never even met! It's so contrived and SO TACKY! I really admire Reece Witherspoon for rejecting the invitation to attend on the grounds that she didn't even know them & hadn't ever met them ... But at the time I had no idea she didn't even know any of them - and I remember the revulsion I felt when I did learn the truth about the guest-list. Slowly the truth came out about all of these details, and even more so about who and what she truly is, and when it did come out, how quickly that massive support that she had had on her promotion day.. woops, I mean wedding day - sharply dropped off. But it did work for her - for a little while. As for Doria, I remember thinking how brave & stoic she appeared, sitting there all alone. No one sitting close to her even acknowledged her & I even felt sorry for her. But now we know that her performance was every bit as contrived as Smegs' was. I'd also watched William's wedding to Catherine (of course) and our Queen had been so radiantly joyous on the day of their nuptials .. But not on this day. And then the irreverent Rev. Michael Curry started with his thunderous hellfire & brimstone UNSCRIPTED sermon - and the Queen's face turned equally thunderous, like a storm cloud - I knew that Her Majesty was PISSED! It's not done in St George's Chapel - and was clearly done as a gigantic FU to Her Majesty and to the Monarchy in general. It later emerged that Curry had been required to submit his sermon IN WRITING for Royal approval - but then he hadn't even stuck to the FIRST LINE! Which explains the shocked looks between members of the BRF and congregation alike, with even sniggers to outright laughter breaking out. Catherine's side-eye at Camilla who hid her laughter under the 'prawn-platter' hat was well-noted. And still it was a another year before all these details emerged, and until then I'd still hoped that they'd make it as a couple. But by then I had no choice but to withdraw all support for Smeg - but I was silly enough to believe that she was all of the problem, and that she was leading #5 around by the nose. How assured we can be that the truth WILL out - and while we don't know all of the truths YET, it will ALL come out in the wash. Eventually. Especially once divorce proceedings begin! And I am so there for it ... because for me, what began as total support for them both - (and I even defended them!) - has turned into utter loathing for the pair of them ... for all of their lies, the BS, their horrible trashing of her family and of their efforts to destroy the BRF. I grew up going to church with my grandparents, one set Baptist and the other First Christian. As a teen my best friend and I were always in church with her family, a black Methodist church. I couldn't watch the entire 'sermon' of their wedding because of exactly what you said: it was off. Something was so inauthentic about it that it literally was too distracting, and I also knew nothing about her. Trust your gut! 😂

As my father died when I was young, I followed the Finnish tradition and my fiancé and I met at the top of the aisle and started our life together there - walking down the aisle together. We stopped to give presents to our mothers - then stepped up to the alter together. Not that Meghan would have shared the walk down the aisle with Harry. She wanted all eyes only on her. Sadly Meghan had a father that could have walked down the aisle and she didn’t take that opportunity. I would have loved the chance to have a father to walk with me.

Chelsy was a very young and beautiful sun-kissed girl. I saw a video of Cressida in a dance video - she came across as lithe and gentle, an upper class British girl. I am so surprised that she was ever with Harry. Both Chelsy and Cressida would have been perfect for the RF, much like Catherine. Meghan pulled her usual stunts and badgered, stalked, and pestered a contact he had if he could “ask his agent to get her a spot in the conference schedule” (the agent knew the head of the conference committee or something)…so Meghan had dug all that out and the connections and then purposefully pulled stunts to climb the ladder to get that “Place at the table”. The agent she stalked was actually for a tennis player who was a good friend of the Irish tennis player Rory whom she stalked, bribed, and orchestrated into forming a relationship (while she was with Cory and supposedly they were about to get engaged). So she met Rory’s friend, that tennis player - determined somehow who his agent was - then called the tennis guy up bc he was a “friend of Rory’s” and begged him to ask his agent to get her a speaking spot! Apparently her and the agent met in person at the conference and “hit it off and had so much in common” - anyone else see the pattern yet!?!? She “rebrands” herself each time to be what the person she is manipulating to believe they are BFFs and that she’s so down to earth and “real”. It makes me SICK! She’s a complete fraud and has no personality of her own!
Btw, The Clooney's since at least March 2019 up until just two weeks ago have repeatedly stepped out to rep The Prince's Trust... yeah. George's hysterics have forever linked him to the aftermath of Princess Di's death. The Clooney's went to the wedding not knowing them. They loaned Meg their jet and Amal went to her baby shower. And in Feb 2019, when The Harkles were being criticised for well, everything, including their vacationing and frequent use of private jets while Harry moaned hypocritically about the environment--George, along with 😒 Ellen and Elton John defended them. But since then? Literally a month after saying Meghan's been "pursued and vilified"? Nada. Not a word, not a hand out. That's the long game. That's what it's all about. Just like people think Elton John is team Harkles and hates Charles because of Diana. Meanwhile, he was featured in a BBC interview at the coronation and accepted another honor, bestowed by Charles, just two years ago! They're all Team Themselves. Oprah would leave Meghan in the dirt if Catherine snapped her fingers.
Edited- To add the Feb 2019 date. It's the last time I recall the Clooney's "associating" with Meghan and Harry at all. They were on the red carpet with Charles a month later and have continued to align themselves and their foundation with the monarchy!
The wedding guest-list actually worked in her favour - for a little while. Those of us (which is most of us!) who were supportive of the Prince Harry we thought we knew but we had no idea who Smeg was, we actually thought, "Wow - she mustn't have any family to speak of - but just look at all of her Hollywood friends!" Even Oprah! I remember thinking she must be soooo loved in Hollywood! I never thought for one second that she would invite a whole church full of people she had never even met - much less could I later figure out why on earth all those famous people would even ACCEPT an invitation to a wedding of someone they've never even met! It's so contrived and SO TACKY! I really admire Reece Witherspoon for rejecting the invitation to attend on the grounds that she didn't even know them & hadn't ever met them ... But at the time I had no idea she didn't even know any of them - and I remember the revulsion I felt when I did learn the truth about the guest-list. Slowly the truth came out about all of these details, and even more so about who and what she truly is, and when it did come out, how quickly that massive support that she had had on her promotion day.. woops, I mean wedding day - sharply dropped off. But it did work for her - for a little while.
As for Doria, I remember thinking how brave & stoic she appeared, sitting there all alone. No one sitting close to her even acknowledged her & I even felt sorry for her. But now we know that her performance was every bit as contrived as Smegs' was. I vividly recall when Her Majesty arrived & I realised something was very odd ... I'd also watched William's wedding to Catherine (of course) and our Queen had been so radiantly joyous on the day of their nuptials .. But not on this day. And then the irreverent Rev. Michael Curry started with his thunderous hellfire & brimstone UNSCRIPTED sermon - and the Queen's face turned equally thunderous, like a storm cloud - I knew that Her Majesty was PISSED! It's not done in St George's Chapel - and was clearly done as a gigantic FU to Her Majesty and to the Monarchy in general. It later emerged that Curry had been required to submit his sermon IN WRITING for Royal approval - but then he hadn't even stuck to the FIRST LINE! Which explains the shocked looks between members of the BRF and congregation alike, with even sniggers to outright laughter breaking out. Catherine's side-eye at Camilla who hid her laughter under the 'prawn-platter' hat was well-noted. And still it was a another year before all these details emerged, and until then I'd still hoped that they'd make it as a couple. But by then I had no choice but to withdraw all support for Smeg - but I was silly enough to believe that she was all of the problem, and that she was leading #5 around by the nose. How assured we can be that the truth WILL out - and while we don't know all of the truths YET, it will ALL come out in the wash. Eventually. Especially once divorce proceedings begin! And I am so there for it ... because for me, what began as total support for them both - (and I even defended them!) - has turned into utter loathing for the pair of them ... for all of their lies, the BS, their horrible trashing of her family and of their efforts to destroy the BRF. They are both despicable human beings! 😱🤮❌
well, royals are still "above" celebrities, so, being invited to a real life Royal wedding must be thrilling in a sense. You know, the experience, the curiousity of being there and meet/see/witness royals in person.

Samantha did not have a good word to say about Meghan, yet demanded, announced, that she forgave Meghan for some undisclosed wrong-doing, and demanded an invitation to the wedding. As for the half-brother Tom, he advised Harry not to marry Meghan. Those two Markles, brother and sister, are a collective piece of work. Whatever disrespect there might have been, it did not come from Meghan.

I grew up going to church with my grandparents, one set Baptist and the other First Christian. As a teen my best friend and I were always in church with her family, a black Methodist church. I couldn't watch the entire 'sermon' of their wedding because of exactly what you said: it was off. Something was so inauthentic about it that it literally was too distracting, and I also knew nothing about her. Trust your gut! 😂

As my father died when I was young, I followed the Finnish tradition and my fiancé and I met at the top of the aisle and started our life together there - walking down the aisle together. We stopped to give presents to our mothers - then stepped up to the alter together. Not that Meghan would have shared the walk down the aisle with Harry. She wanted all eyes only on her.
Sadly Meghan had a father that could have walked down the aisle and she didn’t take that opportunity. I would have loved the chance to have a father to walk with me.

Chelsy was a very young and beautiful sun-kissed girl. I saw a video of Cressida in a dance video - she came across as lithe and gentle, an upper class British girl. I am so surprised that she was ever with Harry. Both Chelsy and Cressida would have been perfect for the RF, much like Catherine. And then you look at Meghan - at the time a 36 y/o somewhat hard-core struggling actress and such a dichotomy from his previous girlfriends. It's so sad how misguided Harry was because he would not listen to anyone. Meghan would never fit in - not only in the RF but any upper class family. It is so amazing - but not really - how a woman who knew how to physically manipulate men - was able to get herself in there. However if we look back at history, it's not that surprising.
If Cressida and Chelsy felt that they were being.intrrviewed for a job, and not being courted for a marriage, therein might lie part of the reason they turned Harry down. The other part wouldn't have been the intrusive self-involvement of the tabloids in what should have been a pro time for a courting couple.

Meghan and Harry didn't even have a long courtship. She was madly in love with Harry's 'Prince' title - not him - and what it could do for her.
