Predictit is kind of a funny tool to go by. I like it and watching it *does* have its uses, but it’s not exactly the same as polling who it is that people *will* be voting for so much as it is a tool for gauging people’s confidence in a race. Even a Trump voter can believe that Kamala has the odds of winning for some reason or another, and would allocate their bet toward her for that reason. It’s also not a 1:1 thing. You could have a few whales bumping Kamala for the fact that they’re very confident in her, even if the majority of investments might still be for Trump, which skews the appearance of who the winner might actually be. Big money behind a person on Predictit doesn’t necessarily equate to big votes for a candidate at the ballot box.

You aren't really taking the margin of error into account therefore you are cherry picking your data by only using Real Clear Politics which leans right. In order for this to be an accurate depicter, you would need to compile the data from all polls. You sir, are falling into the self confirmaton bias which means you are leading with a logical fallacy in order to analyze the data. This makes you incorrect and why you should reconsider another approach.

Predictit is kind of a funny tool to go by. I like it and watching it *does* have its uses, but it’s not exactly the same as polling who it is that people *will* be voting for so much as it is a tool for gauging people’s confidence in a race. Even a Trump voter can believe that Kamala has the odds of winning for some reason or another, and would allocate their bet toward her for that reason. It’s also not a 1:1 thing. You could have a few whales bumping Kamala for the fact that they’re very confident in her, even if the majority of investments might still be for Trump, which skews the appearance of who the winner might actually be.
Big money behind a person on Predictit doesn’t necessarily equate to big votes for a candidate at the ballot box.

You aren't really taking the margin of error into account therefore you are cherry picking your data by only using Real Clear Politics which leans right. In order for this to be an accurate depicter, you would need to compile the data from all polls. You sir, are falling into the self confirmaton bias which means you are leading with a logical fallacy in order to analyze the data. This makes you incorrect and why you should reconsider another approach.
