@@TheThamesmen as someone else mentioned The Murder Capital , who are another band from Dublin as well as Shame who just released their second album “Drunk Tank Pink” in January. That album has been on repeat. They both fall into the post punk genre similar to Fontaines D.C.
Great track Alex! It's always joy to discover a new band and I'm already looking up these guys. The only thing better than listening to you two discuss bands I love, is to have something new come out of it. Cheers!

If we want to react to some other tracks of theirs what would you recommend? (Thank you for joining our conversation, great to have an expert as we are not!)
@@TheThamesmen the Facebook group will have some suggestions! There are too many to name. Check out the short film "Sold for Parts" about the band making Dogrel.
Everything about this track is amazing! They must be incredible live. Good choice, Alex. I do have to take exception to something you said-that people “our age” stopped listening to new music in the 80’s-speak for yourself, old man! 😉 I have a suggestion for you: add viewers choice to the Wheel of For-Tune but the songs must be under 10 years old. I think it would be good for both you and the viewers
God idea re under 10yrs old..... We've just done guilt pleasure that didn't end up so well, so we will have a spot on the wheel! BTW What do you think of the ads
This song makes me miss the days when all pubs closed at 11 and everyone was bundling out onto the street, trying to decide which dingy club to head to :)
The UK.... Start driving when you are 17 and it takes a year to learn. Pass your test at 18, bang on for drinking. Then throw everyone who is pissed all out on the street at the exact same moment... The watch Andy Nelson have a fight at the war Memorial!! They were the days...
I just saw you guys on Into the Music's channel. I've been following them for a few weeks and had made a few Ko-fi requests. I'm a 60 year old New Yorker, but heavily into British rock, old and new. Anyway, I have Fontaines DC's Boys in the Better in as a request for them. I hope they love it too. Their 2 album, A Hero's Death is a MUST. Oh, and you now have another subscriber...
Well perfect and welcome welcome. I look forward to their reaction as that should be great. Fontaines DC are a great band we all can get behind and get them over to the states for some shows.
Ok... put them on to listen to whilst going through comments. So far it sounds like an Irish Waterboys.... I like it! Thanks Jon, I am always looking for bands in this style.
not really my cup of tea, i'm afraid, but it's good to see a lead guitarist playing a Danelectro. they're really cheap, and not usually considered good enough for REAL guitarists to take seriously. however, they're really good guitars. they just use inexpensive materials and are made in S.E.Asia [like most of them, these days] with all the Gibsons and Fenders, etc., etc., it's great to see a guy with such a solid ego, who doesn't need to impress with a high priced instrument
I’m 60 have both their records, and saw them in Boston September 2019 and I’m a yank. Great band.
I'm 52 and would love to see them! Great work Kevin.... what else do you think we need to see? Alex✌️

@@TheThamesmen Wow, vibes of The Clash with this one, love it. You'll have your work cut out now to live upto this standard!
I'm not sure this is the channel to be brining new bands out of the woodwork. In time as we get larger maybe!
Really enjoyed that. Thanks. Will look out for them.
Glad you enjoyed. I loved it also... Loved the energy, vibe, roof down up loud summer track!
Loved this. Didn't know these guys.
Great track for sure

I’ve been listening to both of their albums-remarkably good!! I seriously cannot wait until they make it back to the US.

Irish rock lol
