    Thanks for the expert advice. I was frustrated because I would sharpen the chain but not getting a nice 'chip'. Finally looked at the chain and realized what the problem was. So knowing the problem but not the solution.. Great video. A big help.

    The tip at the end regarding opening the hole in the filing guide to fit over larger depth gauges was super helpful. I had been looking for an answer on that for a while.

    My thing is if you don’t know what your doing or are new to saws then leave the plate alone don’t touch it ever at all.
